Ukraine admits to coordinating with the West to attack Crimea
(Baonghean.vn) - The Ukrainian President's advisor said that Kiev coordinated with Western partners in the attacks on the Crimean Peninsula.
“There is now absolute consensus among Western countries that we can destroy everything Russian, for example in Crimea,” - Mikhail Podolyak, Advisor to the President of Ukraine.
Previously, at the end of July 2023, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the bridge connecting the Crimean peninsula with Russia "brings war, not peace", and therefore has always been a military target for Kiev.
After the Crimean Bridge attacks, Russia accused Ukraine of being behind the attacks, and the West could hardly avoid complicity in the Kiev regime's terrorist activities. The Russian Foreign Ministry also stated that there was information showing that the West had a hand in planning, financing and carrying out the attacks.
Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Medvedev stressed that Crimea is an inseparable part of Russia, and claims on Russian territory will receive appropriate responses.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced on August 28 that two Russian Air Defense Force fighter jets successfully intercepted two US Air Force MQ-9 Reaper and RQ-4 Global Hawk drones that were on a reconnaissance mission over the Crimean Peninsula. As a result, the US reconnaissance drones changed their flight path and left the Crimean region.
