Woman hides drugs in her pants to attend court
(Baonghean.vn) - Attending the trial, Luong Thi Tinh still carried a heroin cake in her waistband. As soon as the trial ended, Tinh rode her motorbike to deliver the drugs to her partner.
Bringing drugs into court
Luong Thi Tinh (49 years old), residing in Chau Thon commune, Que Phong district and Nguyen Thi Loc (53 years old), residing in Quynh Hong commune, Quynh Luu district are friends and have known each other for a long time.
Around mid-2022, Tinh called Loc many times to confide in him about the hardships of being a single mother, having been cheated out of all her money by friends, and currently being unable to pay her debts, and her life being difficult. From then on, Tinh asked Loc to find someone to buy drugs, and she would be responsible for taking care of the "goods".
Listening to his friend's heart-wrenching story, Loc sympathized and decided to "help" by finding a source to buy drugs. The "partner" that Loc targeted was a man he had known before in Quang Nam province.
After the customer agreed to buy the "goods", on June 4, 2022, Loc called Tinh to order 1 heroin cake. The two sides agreed on a price of 155 million VND, Loc transferred 2 million VND to his friend in advance.

Having received an order from a friend, Tinh contacted a Mong man (unknown origin) to buy a heroin cake on credit, for 150 million VND. Following the seller’s instructions, Tinh went to the tree root next to the stream, Doc Chuoi bend (in Chau Kim commune, Que Phong district) and found a heroin cake. In addition, the seller also gave Tinh another package containing many types of drugs such as: pink phien, crystal meth and heroin.
To ensure safety, Tinh did not bring the heroin home but left it by a stream where many people would not notice. As for the additional package of drugs, Tinh brought it home and hid it in the family's bathroom.
On June 8, 2022, Luong Thi Tinh went to the People's Court of Que Phong district to attend a hearing to divide assets related to relatives. On the way to court, this woman stopped by the place where she had hidden the drugs earlier, took a heroin cake and tucked it into her waistband. After that, Tinh calmly brought the drugs into the courtroom.
After attending the trial, Tinh brought the drugs to the meeting point to wait for Loc, who was traveling by taxi from Quynh Luu district. When they met, the two parties did not make the transaction immediately, but Tinh followed the taxi on a motorbike. The purpose was for Loc to go ahead and scout the way to support Tinh in order to avoid detection by the authorities so that he could bring the "goods" to Quynh Luu for the transaction.
However, the actions of these two subjects did not escape the eyes of the detectives. Both were arrested by the police while traveling on the road. During an urgent search of Tinh's residence, the police seized many more types of drugs with a total weight of more than 14 grams. Thus, the Investigation Agency determined that Tinh must bear criminal responsibility for the act of buying and selling more than 352 grams of drugs, Loc must bear responsibility for more than 338 grams.
Middle age behind prison doors
With the above actions, both Tinh and Loc were prosecuted and brought to trial for the crime of Illegal drug trafficking. In response to the court's questions, Tinh and Loc both said that in this case they were not the masterminds but the other party. Specifically, defendant Loc stated that in this case he only played a secondary role in finding buyers for Tinh. The purchase and transportation of drugs were both done by defendant Tinh.
Defendant Tinh repeatedly cited his difficult circumstances to justify his crime. “I am a single mother raising a child, my life is difficult, I lack money to make a “red book”, so I asked Loc to transfer 2 million VND in advance,” Tinh stated in court. Regarding the act of bringing drugs into court, the defendant stated that Loc repeatedly asked to deliver the “goods”, so the defendant conveniently took them with her.

Regarding the package of drugs that the police discovered during the house search, Tinh said the seller gave him more. The defendant planned to hide it to sell for profit but was discovered by the police.
Appearing in court at middle age, both defendants cried many times, showing remorse for their actions.
After considering the role of each defendant in the case, as well as the aggravating and mitigating circumstances, the panel sentenced Luong Thi Tinh to 20 years in prison and Nguyen Thi Loc to 17 years in prison for the crime of "Illegal drug trafficking".
From a pair of friends, Tinh and Loc had to spend their middle-aged years in prison because of greed. That is an expensive lesson for those who disregard the law, dreaming of getting rich by spreading white death to society.
