The golden croaker (scientific name is Otolithoides biauritus), also known as the yellowfin croaker, is the largest fish in the croaker family, belonging to the perch order (family Sciaenidae), distributed in India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, China, and Vietnam. The golden croaker is a particularly rare fish, with very high economic value on the world market and is considered "as expensive as gold".

The meat of the yellow croaker is fresh and has a delicious taste. However, the most expensive thing that makes up the billion-dollar value of the yellow croaker is the fish's bladder. Because dried yellow croaker bladder is said to have nutritional value equal to ginseng. In addition, in modern medicine, yellow croaker bladder is used to produce biodegradable sutures in surgeries.
