21 years after being crowned Miss Vietnam 2002, Mai Phuong is still a name that many people mention even though she is no longer active in the arts.

When she was crowned, Mai Phuong was only 17 years old and a 12th grade student at Tran Phu Gifted High School, Hai Phong. At that time, Mai Phuong was highly appreciated for her plump, vibrant beauty and charming Vietnamese face.

The girl born in 1985 is also the first beauty queen to wear the Vietnamese sash and represent her country in the contest.Miss World 2003in London. Mai Phuong said that she met her husband as a high school classmate, so they understood each other and shared easily. Her husband is a responsible family man, so everything in their married life has become smoother. The couple has two sons born in 2009 and 2012.
Mai Phuong once rarely revealed in an interview that the secret to keeping the fire of marriage burning is understanding and sharing her husband's hardships.
