(Baonghean.vn) - In preparation for the opening ceremony of the new school year 2023-2024, Women's Unions at all levels in Nghe An have had many activities to support orphans, children of poor households, households in difficult circumstances... to go to school.

The most common activity of the Women's Union at all levels in the province is to connect with charitable organizations and individuals, draw from the union's fund and mobilize voluntary contributions from officials and members to support money; purchase school supplies: books, notebooks, pens, school bags; buy new clothes; buy bicycles for students from poor households, households in difficult circumstances, and orphans to go to school in the new school year 2023 - 2024.

Accordingly, in addition to supporting money to buy school supplies, clothes, and bicycles for orphans under the program "Godmother - Connecting Love", with more than 1,500 children sponsored, the provincial associations also pay attention to support and "Help go to school" for thousands of orphans, children from poor households, and children in difficult circumstances.

The total amount of money donated and supported by Women's Unions at all levels to "Helping Children Go to School" on this opening day is up to hundreds of millions of Dong.

Many localities also have many practical fundraising activities to support poor children to go to school. In Quy Chau district, many associations such as the Women's Union of Chau Hoan commune organize car washing activities and sell sugarcane juice to raise funds to help poor children.

Chau Phong and Chau Hanh communes organized a clean agricultural product market to raise funds for charity named "Helping children go to school, raising dreams", "Helping children go to school, because they love to study" for poor children.

Tan Lac town mobilized local agencies and units to support resources and directly went with orphans to buy books and new clothes for school.

In Nghia Dan district, 100% of the association's facilities allocate funds and mobilize organizations and individuals to support resources and give gifts at the beginning of the school year to orphans, children of poor households, and those in especially difficult circumstances.

Many associations also organize labor days to weed guava and sugarcane to raise money to buy school supplies to give to students, such as Nghia Thinh, Nghia Long, Nghia Yen, Nghia Loi, Nghia Son communes. Or Nghia Tho, Nghia Hoi, Nghia Binh communes organize the activity "Exchanging waste for school supplies" and give gifts to disadvantaged students...

In Hoang Mai town, 10/10 communes and wards organize "Green Savings" activities through collecting and exchanging recycled scrap to raise funds.
