The West sets a new task in Ukraine.
(Baonghean.vn) - American experts believe that the West has realized that Russia's victory in Ukraine was inevitable. Therefore, they have set a new task for Ukraine.

In an interview with Sputnik, former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter stated that Western countries want to downplay the extent of Russia's victory in Ukraine.
“A new reality has emerged in the West, as everyone realizes they cannot help Kyiv achieve its goals and objectives in Ukraine. Now they are facing a dilemma in trying to mitigate the consequences of an inevitable failure,” argues former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter.
According to expert Ritter, if the conflict were to stop now, one could get a basic idea of what the Ukrainian border would look like. Otherwise, the existence of the border would remain ambiguous.
A former US intelligence officer argues that NATO underestimated Russia in the counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Ritter stated that NATO believed the Russian forces were weak, but the well-built defenses, discipline, and dedication of Russian soldiers caused NATO member states to "fall from the sky."
"Russia has proven very adept, and this fact has hampered NATO's progress," former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter observed.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian presidential advisor Mikhail Podolyak asserted that Western countries have gradually accepted Ukraine's counterattacks against Crimea, the region annexed by Russia in 2014, despite initial concerns that this move would only escalate tensions.
Mr. Podolyak emphasized that Ukraine's goal is not to send troops to the borders drawn in 1991 after the country declared independence from the Soviet Union, but to "break through Russia's front lines and force them to withdraw from Ukrainian territory."
