Although it only existed for a short time, the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement had an extremely great significance, it was the first general rehearsal for all victories of the Vietnamese revolution. As President Ho Chi Minh said: "Although the French imperialists suppressed that movement in a sea of blood, the Nghe Tinh Soviet demonstrated the heroic spirit and revolutionary capacity of the Vietnamese working people. Although the movement failed, it trained the forces for the victorious August Revolution later on."
