A fisherman in Quynh Luu died in a work accident at sea.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 19, information from Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station (Quynh Luu) said that while fishing at sea, a fisherman in Quynh Long commune unfortunately had an accident that led to his death.
Accordingly, at about 2:30 a.m. on September 18, while fishing at coordinates 17042'N-107054'E (in Quang Binh sea area), fisherman Nguyen Van L. (born in 1981), residing in Thanh Cong village, Quynh Long commune (Quynh Luu) got into a basket boat to fix the winch rope, when the boat and the person were about 2.5m above the water surface, the winch rope slipped. Fisherman L. fell into the sea and fainted, then regained consciousness and was taken back to the boat to rest by other fishermen.
However, at about 9:00 a.m. the same day, fisherman L. complained of a headache. The captain immediately took the ship to Gianh creek (Quang Binh) for emergency treatment, but during the journey, when about 10 nautical miles from Gianh port, fisherman L. died.
It is expected that on September 19, fishing boat NA - 96898 - TS will bring the victim's body to Lach Quen port (Quynh Luu, Nghe An).
It is known that the fishing boat NA - 96898 - TS is over 24m long, captained by fisherman Nguyen Quoc Bao (born in 1996), residing in Duc Thuan village, Tien Thuy commune (Quynh Luu); departed from Lach Quen port for exploitation at 4:00 p.m. on September 4, 2023, with 18 fishermen on board to exploit aquatic and seafood products using purse seine nets./.
