Coach Hoang Anh Tuan: In the match against Mongolia, the Vietnam Olympic team will aim for a ball control style of play.
(Baonghean.vn) - Coach Hoang Anh Tuan said he will let his students play ball control like the Vietnam National Team at ASIAD 19.
On the afternoon of September 18, the Vietnam Olympic team had its second training session in China. This session took place at Shaoxing Keqiao Jianhu Stadium, more than 40km from the center of Hangzhou.
During the training session of the Vietnam Olympic team, coach Hoang Anh Tuan required his players to control the ball and launch attacks. The players had to practice avoiding pressing, corner kicks, and countering high balls.

In an interview with the press before the training session, coach Hoang Anh Tuan said: "We will definitely play with ball control, just like the national team is currently aiming for that style of play. I think that style of play is suitable for Vietnamese football, in terms of physical strength as well as professional ability. Only by doing that can we overcome physical weaknesses."

Evaluating the upcoming opening match against Olympic Mongolia, coach Hoang Anh Tuan said that the Vietnamese Olympic players must not be subjective.
He said: "No opponent is easy, especially the opening match. We must have a certain respect for Mongolia. The Vietnamese Olympic team is the youngest in the tournament, with an average age of only 20.3 years old. Actually, we have nothing to worry about professionally because we have prepared for a long time. But we must respect any opponent."

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Do Sy Huy shared about being chosen as the captain of the Vietnamese Olympic team at the 19th ASIAD. Sy Huy said: "It is an honor for me personally and part of my responsibility. But the most important thing is the solidarity of the team to achieve the results that the whole team desires."
He added about the team's preparation process: "We have been preparing for quite a long time, from the U23 Asian qualifiers until now. We have been living and working together for a while. Integration is not difficult at all. I am one of the over-age players who was called up. This is the motivation for me to try to compete and practice with everyone to achieve the best results."

According to the match schedule, the Vietnamese Olympic team in Group B will meet Mongolia (3:00 p.m. on September 19), Iran (6:30 p.m. on September 21) and Saudi Arabia (6:30 p.m. on September 24).
