Should I eat a lot of guava?

One of the challenges for plant-based dieters is getting enough protein. However, if you think guava is a good standalone protein source, think again. As nutritionist Brigid Titgemeier explains, to get enough protein from fruit, you would have to eat a lot of it. This would increase the carbohydrate content, which affects blood sugar levels.

Also, guava isn't the only fruit that's high in protein. Jackfruit—grown in Asia, Africa, and South America—is also a good source of protein. According toLive Science, you can choose to add avocado, apricot, raspberry, kiwi, orange and banana.
