Why does the exhaust pipe on the car leak water?

Exhaust pipes are the parts that conduct and process exhaust gas of a car, playing an important role for the car model and the surrounding environment.

Specifically, when the vehicle is operating, the rear engine in the process of burning fuel will create power to help the vehicle operate, along with that by-products (exhaust gas) are produced, including many toxic substances such as: Carbon black, Carbon Monoxide (CO), Carbon Dioxide (CO2)...

In which H2O (water) is in the last substance, when going through the exhaust system, they will meet the exhaust gas processor. Here the water will be condensed, other substances will be partially absorbed and pushed out. Therefore, in the car's exhaust pipe there is water dripping when the car moves.

In addition, another reason is that in the early morning, when the exhaust pipe is still cold, the steam in the exhaust pipe will condense and become wastewater.

Another explanation is that when hydrocarbons in fuel (gasoline) are burned at about 180 degrees Celsius, some substances such as Paraffinic, Naptenic, Aromatic will exist. They will then react with by-products produced from the fuel combustion process and create water.

Besides the above uses, the exhaust pipe also has many other uses such as pressure adjustment, noise reduction or increased aesthetics...

Some sources also speculate that the driver can assess the condition of the vehicle by looking at the water discharge from the exhaust pipe. Vehicles with poor injectors or compressed air supply systems will have a lot of soot or other unusual substances in the exhaust. However, this hypothesis has not been verified based on science or mechanics.
