Arrested 71-year-old 'slime ghost' who broke into a series of houses in the middle of the night
A 71-year-old man, naked, broke into a series of houses in the middle of the night to steal property.
On September 28, Cai Lay Town Police (Tien Giang Province) are temporarily detaining suspect Huynh Van Tam (71 years old, residing in Thot Not District, Can Tho City) to investigate the act of "Theft of property".

According to initial investigation, on the evening of September 26, Mr. Tam took a bus from Mien Tay Bus Station (HCMC) to Phu Nhuan commune, Cai Lay district (Tien Giang).
At around 1:00 a.m. on September 27, Mr. Tam broke through a corrugated iron wall and broke into a sausage shop in My Thanh Nam commune, Cai Lay district, stealing 4 cell phones. He then took a bus back to Ho Chi Minh City. When he arrived at Nhi Quy commune, Cai Lay town, suspect Tam was arrested by the detectives on the bus with the evidence.
At the police station, Mr. Tam initially confessed to committing many other thefts in the Western provinces.
Accordingly, on the evening of September 22, he broke into a motel in Cai Lay district and stole two cell phones. In addition, this man also broke into the house of a person in Cai Lay district and stole a cell phone.
On the evening of August 17, Mr. Tam broke into a man's house in Cai Lay district and stole a laptop and four cell phones, worth about 28 million VND.

Or on July 25, suspect Tam broke into a resident's house in Cai Lay town and stole 2 cell phones, worth about 32 million VND. After that, he broke into a jackfruit farm in Cai Lay town and stole 1 cell phone.
Mr. Tam said he sold the stolen property in Ho Chi Minh City and used the money for personal expenses.
According to the police, suspect Tam has two previous convictions for theft and was sentenced to 22 years in prison. This man has committed many burglaries. He rented a room in Ho Chi Minh City and took a bus to Tien Giang to steal property.
Mr. Tam took off all his clothes, cut and pried open the windows, then broke into the house to steal property. After taking the property, Tam went out to get dressed, then took a bus back to Ho Chi Minh City.
