(Baonghean.vn) - After examination, the doctors concluded that Ms. Thuy had broken ribs and Ms. Thuong had soft tissue injuries. The two female teachers said that they were very grateful to those who rescued them in time.

On the morning of September 30, Ms. Luong Thi Thuy (45 years old) and Ms. Vong Thi Thuong (35 years old) were still being treated at the Tuong Duong District Medical Center. Currently, the health and mental state of these two teachers are basically stable. Through examination, Ms. Thuy suffered a broken rib, while Ms. Thuong was fortunate to only suffer soft tissue injuries and scratches on her body.

Ms. Thuy and Ms. Thuong, both teachers at Luu Kien Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, had an accident on their way home from school and were promptly rescued by local residents and authorities.

"At that time, we were really panicked, our bodies could not move. Luckily, there were two other girls following behind, who promptly called for help. I am very grateful to those who rescued me," said Ms. Vong Thi Thuong.

On the afternoon of September 29, after school, Ms. Thuy drove Ms. Thuong from school to her home in Thach Giam town by scooter. Along with the two girls, there were two other colleagues riding behind. About 2km away from the school, reaching National Highway 7A (through Khe Kien village, Luu Kien commune), rocks and soil from the mountain suddenly collapsed, bringing with them a lot of dust. The two female teachers and their motorbike fell down, and were swept down the slope by rocks and soil, crushing them. The lower parts of their bodies were buried by rocks and soil, making it impossible to move. Ms. Thuy was also trapped under a guardrail on the side of the road....

Witnessing the accident, two colleagues behind quickly called the principal and nearby authorities for help.

"When I received the news, I immediately ran down. At that time, in addition to the two colleagues who were with me, there were five car drivers who also stopped at the scene. However, because we did not have any tools, we were helpless," said Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung - Principal of Luu Kien Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities.

At this time, Ms. Nhung had to call the authorities to bring an excavator for support, and borrow tools to remove the guardrail, freeing the two teachers. After nearly 1 hour, with the support of dozens of people, the two teachers in distress were rescued and taken to the District Medical Center. The pile of dirt and rocks blocking the road was also cleared for vehicles to pass.

"Luckily it wasn't dark yet and there were two colleagues with them. Otherwise, we wouldn't know what happened because the two girls were buried under a bush, making it hard to see them," said principal Nguyen Thi Nhung, adding that Ms. Thuy is the team leader, and Ms. Thuong has been teaching Biology at the school for five years. In the coming time, the school will arrange for teachers to make up for the loss of health, waiting for the two girls to recover.

On the morning of September 30, leaders of the Nghe An Department of Education and Training and many units were also present at the Tuong Duong District Medical Center to visit and encourage the two female teachers.
