Former Song Lam Nghe An midfielder goes to work abroad

Born in 2000, central defender Le Thanh Lam (Thai Hoa town) grew up from the Song Lam Nghe An training center. The most impressive achievement of the young central defender and his teammates of the same age is the championship of the 2013 National U13 Tournament - the tournament was held at the 19/8 stadium in Nha Trang city (Khanh Hoa).

However, over time, teammates of the same age as Le Thanh Lam all left Vinh stadium in different ways such as Luong Van Hung, Ta Quoc Tien... Le Thanh Lam is the only case to be promoted to the first team of Song Lam Nghe An (2019).

However, Le Thanh Lam was not appreciated by the Coaching Board of the Nghe An team, with the number of minutes on the field being 0. Simply, Le Thanh Lam could not compete for a position with experienced seniors like Hoang Van Khanh or Thai Ba Sang.

After a period of "wearing out his pants on the bench" at Song Lam Nghe An, Le Thanh Lam was loaned to Dak Lak to play (2021 - 2022). Unfortunately, when returning to Vinh Stadium, the situation of the former U23 Vietnam player was still not brighter.

At the end of the 2022 season, Le Thanh Lam had to say goodbye to Song Lam Nghe An due to contract termination. Le Thanh Lam's next destination is Dong Nai. However, Le Thanh Lam only stayed with the Southeast team for half a season.

With the desire to experience a new environment, Le Thanh Lam agreed to join Binh Thuan, a team playing in the National First Division. However, the constant torment of back pain prevented Le Thanh Lam from demonstrating his inherent abilities.

Right after the 2023 season officially ended, Le Thanh Lam also decided to say goodbye to his football career. It is known that herniated disc disease is the reason that forced Le Thanh Lam to give up his passion for football. A sad ending for the former U23 Vietnam center back.
