The group used cars to steal hundreds of water pump motors.
The group traveled by car to the province's largest vegetable-growing area, taking advantage of the cover of darkness to steal hundreds of water pumps and various agricultural tools used by local farmers.
The police in Don Duong district (Lam Dong province) have just arrested and detained six individuals for theft and receiving stolen property. These individuals are residents or temporary residents of districts within Lam Dong province.

The individuals were arrested for the following offenses:theft of propertyThe suspects include Lang Van Long (27 years old) and Lang Van Viet (24 years old, from Thanh Hoa province, temporarily residing in Nam Ban town, Lam Ha district), K'Tuy (24 years old, residing in Me Linh commune, Lam Ha district), and Hoang Gia Thinh (27 years old, residing in Binh Thanh commune, Duc Trong district).
Le Cong Vy (26 years old) and Nguyen Hoai Long (25 years old, both residing in Duc Trong district) were arrested for the crime of receiving stolen property.
Previously, many residents in Don Duong district (the largest vegetable-growing area in Lam Dong province) reported to authorities that thieves had broken into their tool sheds and vegetable gardens to steal water pump motors and various types of agricultural machinery.
On many nights, the group of thieves would steal a dozen water pump motors at a time, causing anxiety and insecurity among farmers and negatively impacting vegetable and flower production in the area.
The Criminal Investigation Team of Don Duong District Police, in coordination with the police of communes and towns in the area, launched an investigation. Using professional methods, the police force traced the clues and arrested four suspects for theft.

During a search of the suspects' residence, the Don Duong District Police discovered and seized numerous items, including water pump motors and other related evidence. Notably, when stealing water pump motors, they often used cars to transport the stolen goods.
Expanding the investigation, the Don Duong District Police discovered that Le Cong Vy and Nguyen Hoai Long had been selling property stolen by the aforementioned group of suspects.
Investigators have initially determined that in recent months, the suspects have stolen hundreds of water pump motors and agricultural machinery in Don Duong district, then sold them, earning hundreds of millions of dong in illicit profits, which they then divided among themselves for personal use.
