The dispatch stated: “Due to the short time to prepare for the new season and the project to socialize Binh Thuan Club to switch to a joint stock football company model that has not been approved, and some difficulties, especially funding, the Club requests to withdraw from the First Division and move down to play in the Second Division.”

Before the official letter requesting withdrawal from the First Division, a petition appeared on social media from 18 players of Binh Thuan Club accusing the team's management of not paying bonuses for the entire season to the team, and the tournament's winnings were continuously cut.
