(Baonghean.vn) - That is one of the important information in the project "Enhancing skills and employment opportunities for young people to contribute to improving the capacity for safe international integration in the period 2023 - 2025" implemented by the Central Youth Union in Nghe An.

On the morning of October 12, in Vinh city, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union held a "Workshop on guiding the organization of activities to enhance skills and job opportunities for young people, contributing to improving the capacity for safe international integration in the period 2023 - 2025".

The program was attended by representatives of the Central Youth Union's International Committee, the Central Youth Union's Center; the United Nations International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Vietnam; the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee; the Provincial Employment Service Center; the Provincial Youth Development Support Center and related units.

As of May 2023, Nghe An province has more than 700,000 union members and young people, accounting for nearly 25% of the province's population, however, the rate of young people with jobs and stable jobs is about 60%.

Faced with urgent demands for career guidance and vocational training, union members and young people are in dire need of timely solutions in career guidance, vocational training, and improving necessary skills to contribute to solving employment in the future.

At the workshop, comrade Le Hong Nhung - Deputy Head of the International Department of the Central Youth Union presented important information about the project "Enhancing skills and employment opportunities for young people, contributing to improving the capacity for safe international integration in the period 2023 - 2025".

The project has 5 key activities, of which the outstanding activities include organizing 15 training courses for union and youth officials; Supporting vocational training, internships and employment for youth in Nghe An province; Supporting 45 start-up initiatives, small business start-up models for sustainable development...

Regarding activities to support vocational training, internships and employment for young people, the project clearly states that from January01/2024 - 6/2024 in Nghe An province, 60 young people who are students, trainees, and freelance workers who want to find a job will receive support to study short-term vocational courses (3-6 months); be introduced to internships and find jobs through the Youth Employment Service Center.

From March 2024 to March 2025, the project will provide technical and knowledge support to up to 45 local workers or businesses capable of creating jobs for people to establish livelihood models suitable to socio-economic conditions in the province.

Speaking at the workshop, comrade Tran Linh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Student Association affirmed that the project plays a very important role for the union members and youth of Nghe An in equipping knowledge, improving capacity, and enhancing international integration skills. In particular, this is an important fulcrum to support young people in finding jobs, promoting the establishment and maintenance of business livelihood models, aiming to contribute to recruiting local labor to respond to social changes.
