SJC gold continues to increase to 70.3 million VND/tael

DOJI listed the price of 9999 gold at 69.35 million VND/tael for buying and 70.25 million VND/tael for selling.

USD price increased sharply in both directions
The USD exchange rate today (October 19) increased sharply by 20 VND in both buying and selling directions. The world USD exchange rate remained above 106 points.
The central VND/USD exchange rate announced by the State Bank today is adjusted to 24,096 VND/USD, an increase of 3 VND compared to the same time yesterday.
Currently, the exchange rate allowed for trading by commercial banks ranges from 23,400 - 25,250 VND/USD. The US Dollar exchange rate has also been brought to the buying and selling range by the State Bank Exchange from 23,400 to 25,250 VND/USD.
The USD exchange rate at banks and domestic foreign exchange rates this morning recorded a series of upward adjustments at banks. Specifically, Vietcombank has a buying price of 24,350 and a selling price of 24,690, an increase of 22 VND compared to the closing price of yesterday's trading session. The current USD buying and selling prices are in the range of 23,400 - 25,300 VND/USD.
Gasoline price centsupward trend
The retail prices of gasoline and oil in the domestic market today are applied according to the price level of the management session on the afternoon of October 11. Accordingly, gasoline and oil prices have decreased sharply.

According to data from Oilprice, at 9:46 a.m. on October 18 (Vietnam time), Brent oil price was trading at 91.76 USD/barrel, up 1.86 USD, equivalent to 2.07% compared to the previous session. WTI oil price was at 88.7 USD/barrel, up 2.04 USD, equivalent to 2.35% compared to the previous session.
Oil prices are likely to rise due to positive economic data from China and escalating tensions in the Middle East, analysts say.
Oil prices surged after news of a potential breakdown in US President Biden’s meeting with Middle Eastern countries. Many hoped that Biden’s trip to Israel on October 18 could mediate and prevent the Israel-Hamas conflict from escalating. But just before the meeting, the leaders of Jordan, Egypt and Palestine canceled a planned summit with the US President.
Prices of both benchmarks rose sharply last week on concerns that the Israel-Hamas conflict could spread to the oil-producing region.
Domestic coffee prices increased by 400 VND/kg
Updated at 4:30 a.m. on October 19, 2023, coffee prices continued to increase by 400 VND/kg, currently the average coffee price in the Central Highlands provinces fluctuates around 64,000 VND/kg.
Specifically, the coffee purchase price in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces on October 19, 2023 was 64,000 VND/kg. In Dak Nong province, coffee was purchased at 64,200 VND/kg.
The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, is purchased at 63,700 VND/kg.
In Cu M'gar district, Dak Lak province, coffee price is currently at 64,200 VND/kg. In Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, it is purchased at the same price of 64,300 VND/kg.
