The highlight of the contribution to the association work of Ms. Hoang Huong Thao - President of the Women's Union of Quynh Doi commune (Quynh Luu) in recent years is the creative launching and implementation of the movement "Quynh Doi women join hands to build new rural areas", associated with propaganda, mobilization, promoting the sense of responsibility of cadres, members and people to implement the criteria of a model new rural area with 8 criteria of the campaign to build "Family of 5 no, 3 clean".
Every year, the Women's Union of Quynh Doi commune directs women's unions to coordinate with the village management board to review families that have not met the 8 criteria of "Family of 5 no, 3 clean" in the year to focus and resolutely direct with focus and key points with specific assigned targets: Each union helps at least 5 families to achieve "5 no, 3 clean"; effectively maintain the model of "Women's Union of 5 no, 3 clean" to participate in building a new model rural area.
According to Ms. Hoang Huong Thao: From clearly defining the focus, assigning specific targets to each branch, especially promoting the sense of responsibility of the association's staff from the commune to the branch "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style", in recent times, the activities and movements of the Women's Union in Quynh Doi commune have seen many creative, practical and effective models.
Typical models include "Environmental Protection Group"; "Clean House, Beautiful Garden of Adjacent Households"; 8/8 branches build green roads and flower roads with the motto "Each family manages their own alley"; organize 8 "5 No, 3 Clean" clubs; maintain the "Clean Saturday, Green Sunday" movement.
Through the activities of the association, currently, the entire Quynh Doi commune has 40% of the main alleys of the villages with green fences and flower roads; 100% of the alleys and lanes leading to houses have flowers and green fences; 2 "bright, green, clean" roads have been built. In particular, the entire commune has 97.3% of households meeting 8 criteria of the movement to build "5 no, 3 clean" families.

Along with the joint activities to build a healthy living environment, in Quynh Doi commune, the women's union also actively implements many activities to help, support, and accompany women to develop, especially poor women and children, those in difficult and vulnerable circumstances, through supporting vocational training, job creation; supporting funding for "Shelters of Love"; supporting livestock breeding, and sponsoring orphans.
“Double” effect from environmental protection movement

Through the movement and implementation of the self-managed road model, it has contributed to raising awareness, creating habits of cleaning village roads, alleys, and classifying waste among women members in particular and people in general.
In particular, from the waste classification associated with the construction of the model "Using cans and plastics to build the association fund" in the early days and now developing into the model "Turning waste into savings books and hygienic toilets" has created a resource to carry out a number of specific targets and tasks of the association. Such as supporting 12 poor women to buy breeding animals to develop the economy; buying and giving 3 savings books to disabled and especially difficult members; supporting the construction of 30 hygienic toilets.
According to Ms. Lu Thi Le: The "double" effectiveness in the "story" of environmental protection of the association has contributed to changing the customs and lifestyles of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas; contributing to creating a cleaner and more beautiful landscape and environment in the mountainous rural areas; being creative in the association's social security activities, increasing solidarity, mutual love, mutual support, supporting members with special difficulties to rise up, reducing the rate of poor households in the locality. This activity will continue to be maintained, innovated and improved more effectively by the Chau Hoi Commune Women's Union in the coming time.
Accompany and support poor and disadvantaged members
With the thought and desire to accompany and improve the status of women, especially to overcome the inferiority complex of poor and disadvantaged women, helping them confidently rise up, create a livelihood, and ensure their lives; Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong - President of the Women's Union of Con Cuong town (Con Cuong) launched the movement "Women actively study, work, create, and build happy families" to cadres and members.
Ở huyện Con Cuông, Hội Phụ nữ thị trấn trở thành điểm sáng trong tổ chức các phong trào “tiết kiệm” ở các chi hội và trong cán bộ, hội viên, như: “Hũ gạo tiết kiệm”; “Ống lợn tiết kiệm”; "Mỳ tôm tiết kiệm"; "Quỹ phụ nữ nghèo”, “Quỹ thăm hỏi gia đình chính sách"; "Bát cháo tình thương", “Đồng hành cùng phụ nữ biên cương”. Riêng chị em trong Ban Thường vụ Hội Phụ nữ thị trấn, hàng tháng, mỗi chị tự giác tiết kiệm từ 20.000- 50.000 đồng, đồng thời, kêu gọi các nhà hảo tâm đóng góp nguồn lực hỗ trợ phụ nữ, trẻ em nghèo, có hoàn cảnh khó khăn.
Ngoài ra, hàng năm, Hội Phụ nữ thị trấn còn huy động hơn 600 triệu đồng tổ chức các hoạt động “Tri ân bữa cơm gia đình” dành cho các thương binh, bệnh binh, gia đình liệt sĩ, Mẹ Việt Nam anh hùng. Vận động cán bộ, hội viên, nhà hảo tâm chăm lo Tết cho phụ nữ, trẻ em nghèo. Thăm hỏi, tặng quà cho trẻ em hộ nghèo, cận nghèo vào dịp Tết Thiếu nhi, Tết Trung thu, khai giảng năm học mới.
Bên cạnh triển khai hoạt động các phong trào, chị Nguyễn Thị Phương còn là người tiên phong, gương mẫu đi đầu đóng góp và vận động, kết nối các nguồn hỗ trợ đỡ đầu 1 trẻ mồ côi có hoàn cảnh đặc biệt khó khăn; hỗ trợ sinh hoạt phí hàng tháng cho 4 phụ nữ tàn tật, đơn thân…
Các phong trào an sinh xã hội, như “Triệu phần quà san sẻ yêu thương”; Tuần lễ “Vì thành phố mang tên Bác”; “Đồng hành cùng phụ nữ biên cương”; ủng hộ người dân các địa phương bị thiên tai… cũng được Hội Phụ nữ thị trấn Con Cuông triển khai, thu hút đông đảo cán bộ, hội viên và người dân vào cuộc tích cực...
Thực tiễn ở Nghệ An, hoạt động của tổ chức hội cơ sở và chất lượng hoạt động của cán bộ hội phụ nữ cơ sở đóng vai trò quan trọng trong hiện thực hóa các chương trình, mục tiêu, nhiệm vụ mà Nghị quyết Đại hội Phụ nữ các cấp đề ra.
Bởi vậy, bên cạnh nỗ lực của chính đội ngũ cán bộ cơ sở, hiện các cấp hội trong tỉnh cũng đã, đang tiếp tục chăm lo đào tạo, bồi dưỡng đội ngũ cán bộ phụ nữ cơ sở, nhất là Chủ tịch hội cơ sở có trình độ, năng lực, có kinh nghiệm thực tiễn, đáp ứng yêu cầu trong giai đoạn mới; vừa tạo nguồn cán bộ nữ cho Đảng, chính quyền và các ngành.
Đồng thời, các cấp hội cũng luôn quan tâm đồng hành hỗ trợ kịp thời, gắn với động viên, biểu dương, khích lệ đội ngũ cán bộ hội cơ sở có nhiều đổi mới, sáng tạo và nhiều đóng góp cho hoạt động hội và phong trào phụ nữ của tỉnh.
Nhân kỷ niệm 93 năm Ngày thành lập Hội LHPN Việt Nam và 13 năm Ngày Phụ nữ Việt Nam, ngày 26/9 vừa qua, Hội LHPN tỉnh Nghệ An đã tổ chức gặp mặt, biểu dương 100 Chủ tịch hội cơ sở giỏi và chi hội trưởng phụ nữ tiêu biểu năm 2023.
