The delegation of the Vientiane Capital People's Council commemorated the heroic martyrs at the Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 21, the delegation of the People's Council of Vientiane Capital, Lao People's Democratic Republic visited the Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery to offer incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs.

The delegation of the People's Council of Vientiane Capital, Lao People's Democratic Republic was led by Comrade Lam-phoy Si-ac-kha-chan - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Vientiane Capital. Accompanying the delegation, on the side of Nghe An province, were Comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Nghe An province; leaders of the Department of Home Affairs and Anh Son district.

Offering incense and fresh flower baskets at the Temple of Uncle Ho and the heroic martyrs, the delegation of the People's Council of Vientiane Capital and Nghe An Province expressed their sincere respect and deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their blood for the peace and unity of Vietnam and the special international friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
The delegation of the Vientiane Capital People's Council and Nghe An Provincial People's Council also offered flowers and incense at the Martyrs' Monument and at the martyrs' graves; expressing their infinite gratitude for the great contributions of the heroic martyrs, experts, and Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who sacrificed for the peace and independence of the two countries, for the loyal and pure international friendship.

Through two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and Vietnamese military experts on international missions in Laos have always stood shoulder to shoulder with the people and army of Laos, fighting for the truth and progress of the times.

The delegation sincerely prays for the souls of the brothers and sisters to be liberated in eternity; to bless the nation with peace and prosperity; and for the relationship between Vietnam and Laos to develop more and more sustainably.




The Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs Cemetery was built in 1976 with a total area of nearly 7 hectares. Currently, the cemetery is the resting place of more than 11,000 martyrs who are Vietnamese officials, experts and volunteer soldiers who fought and died in Laos. They devoted their youth to the friendly country of Laos, for the noble international duty.

Within the framework of the working program, the delegation of the People's Council of Vientiane Capital (Laos) and the People's Council of Nghe An province visited the TH Group complex in Nghia Dan district.
