Two SLNA players nominated for best young player in 2023
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 24, the organizing committee of the 2023 Vietnam Golden Ball Awards held a press conference in Ho Chi Minh City, introducing the award categories. In the category of outstanding young player, two players Dinh Xuan Tien and Nguyen Van Viet of Song Lam Nghe An Club were nominated.
The Vietnam Golden Ball Award is held to recognize and honor outstanding individuals who have made many contributions to Vietnamese football in the past year, both at the club level and for the national team.
At the press conference, the organizers said that this year, the awards include 14 categories: Golden, Silver, Bronze Ball for men; Golden, Silver, Bronze Ball for women; Golden, Silver, Bronze Ball for futsal (men); Outstanding foreign player, Outstanding young male player, Outstanding young female player.
This year, in addition to the 12 categories that have been regularly awarded, the organizing committee has added 2 more Dedication award categories for players, coaches, and managers who have contributed to the development of national football.
The Dedication Award is not voted for by ballot, but is selected by the organizing committee based on consultation and feedback, with recognition of the efforts of players and coaches over a period of time.

According to the plan, in early November, the organizing committee will send ballots and nomination lists to football experts, national team coaches, coaches, captains of V-League clubs, women's teams, futsal teams, and sports reporters to conduct the voting.
The deadline for the organizing committee to collect votes is December 28, 2023. The 2023 Vietnam Golden Ball Awards Gala is expected to take place in January 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City.
