As a junior high school student, Tra My always loved history lessons. Inspired and passionate by her teacher, she boldly registered and was selected by the school to compete in the History subject and won several high prizes.

Tra My confided: In high school, I had many opportunities to study and learn in depth about the history of the struggle to protect the Fatherland of the nation and the milestones of human history, helping me understand more about the origin of the nation, from there, live responsibly for myself, my family and society. The subject knowledge is very broad, many events require students to have a firm grasp of textbook knowledge, learn more external materials, the important thing is to build for yourself a scientific learning method, suitable for yourself. Along with the way of studying, I realized in myself an ability to learn by heart very quickly and remember for a long time. The whole book page is long but I read it about 2 times to basically memorize and grasp the timeline and events.

Understanding her parents' hard work to send her four children to school, along with her efforts to study, Tra My took on all the housework for her mother. In addition to taking care of the family, cooking for the family, and teaching her younger siblings, in the afternoons when she was not at school, Tra My worked as a hired hand peeling rice paper for production facilities in the commune. Each time like that, she was paid 80,000 VND, thanks to which she had more money to pay for her studies.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, Tra My's mother, shared: "Dad goes to sea day and night, has little time at home, mom also goes to work all day, so the children have to be self-conscious about studying. Tra My not only studies but also has the responsibility to remind and teach her younger siblings on behalf of her parents. Her academic results like that are a great motivation for my husband and I to work hard to ensure that our children can study properly."

With special love, passion for research and efforts to learnHistory, Dau Thi Tra My achieved the top score in History in the Continuing Education block with 14 points. This is the joy, pride and honor of teachers and students of the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education of Dien Chau district.

Tra My shared: “I only focus on studying in the evening for about 2 hours. Because I love History, I spend a little more time than other subjects. For me, History has never been dry or “difficult”. In class, I focus on the lecture, and at home I only read it once more to memorize it. Instead of numbers and separate events, I string together and attach stories to each event. I expand my knowledge by referring to more documents, learning more about local history to connect with historical events of the country, from which I have appropriate and practical evidence and connections.

Tra My is not only good at History but also good at all subjects. Math, Literature, Biology, Chemistry all have a total score of over 8 points. To achieve that achievement, besides her own efforts, Tra My also has the close guidance and direction of the school's Board of Directors, the dedicated teaching and guidance of the teachers in the History team.

Born and raised in difficult circumstances, Tra My is a diligent student and always has the will to improve in life. We see Tra My's perseverance, eagerness to learn, determination and passion for her subjects. To achieve results in the recent exam, she always researched and learned, always discussed difficult problems with her teachers and practiced very hard. That is also the motivation for me to devote all my efforts to Tra My. We are very proud to have students like her.
