(Baonghean.vn) - The Vietnamese women's team won their first victory in the Paris Olympic qualifiers when they defeated India 3-1.

On the afternoon of October 29, at Lokomotiv Stadium (capital Tashkent, Uzbekistan), the Vietnamese women's team entered the second match at the2024 Olympic Qualifiersmeet the Indian women's team.

Determined to find a victory after the unfortunate loss to Uzbekistan, the Vietnamese women's team pushed their squad up to threaten their opponents right from the 4th minute, with a high-pressing style of play.

Thanh Nha stole the ball, creating conditions for Tuyet Dung to launch a soft cross. The ball found Huynh Nhu's position and although her header was not too strong, it was still enough to defeat the Indian goalkeeper.

With the goal, the Vietnamese women's team played even more enthusiastically. In the 11th minute, Huynh Nhu took a free kick from 24 meters away. The ball went over the wall with high spin, forcing the Indian goalkeeper to punch the ball away.

In the following minutes, Thanh Nha had two consecutive chances to shoot but could not put the ball into the Indian goal.

The Vietnamese women's team easily dominated the game, with continuous attacks threatening the Indian team's goal. Under pressure from Vietnam, the Indian women's team finally conceded the second goal. This time, the scorer was Hai Linh when she flew to head the ball beautifully after a cross from her midfield partner, Duong Thi Van.

In the second half, India tried to rise up to score a consolation goal, but their attacks were not very sharp. Meanwhile, India's defense often revealed mistakes and in the 73rd minute, Vietnam scored the third goal, scored by Hai Yen.

Engrossed in their attack, coach Mai Duc Chung's players unexpectedly conceded a goal in the 80th minute. Goalkeeper Tran Thi Kim Thanh and the defenders misjudged and miscoordinated a free kick from the opponent's home field. Sandhiya Sandhiya Ranganathan took advantage of the opportunity to reduce the score to 1-3.

In the remaining minutes of the match, the Indian players pressed forward to attack in search of more goals. However, the Vietnamese Women's Team played solidly and protected the score of 3-1 until the end of the match.

With this victory, the Vietnamese women's team hopes to continue in the second qualifying round, the 2024 Paris Olympics.
