Today, November 1, news from the Investigation Police Agency - Dak Lak Provincial Police said that they have issued a decision to prosecute and order the temporary detention of Tran Thi Truc My (born 1998, residing in Tuy An district, Phu Yen province) to investigate the act offraud and appropriation of property.
According to initial information, in February 2022, Tran Thi Truc My held a wedding with Mr. Hoang Van L. (born in 1992, residing in Cu Jut district, Dak Nong province).
After that, My told her husband and father-in-law, Mr. Hoang Xa L., that she was doing real estate business in Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City. My asked Mr. L. if she could borrow money to do business and make a profit, and when the deal was done, she would pay it back in full.
Believing his daughter-in-law, from February 2022 to March 2023, Mr. L. transferred to My many times a total of more than 5.1 billion VND.

At the investigation agency, My confessed that the total amount of money she embezzled from her husband, father-in-law and acquaintances was nearly 17 billion VND.
