Nghe An fishing boat caught fire and sank at sea
(Baonghean.vn) - A fishing vessel of Nghe An fishermen was operating when it unfortunately caught fire and sank into the sea. Fortunately, the crew members on the burning vessel were assisted to bring them to shore to ensure safety.
At 4:30 p.m. on November 8, fishing boat NA 97567 TS with 7 crew members, captain and owner Nguyen Van Ngoc, born in 1984, residing in Tan An village, An Hoa commune, Quynh Luu district, was fishing about 19 nautical miles east of Lach Van estuary, Dien Chau district when it caught fire in the engine compartment and then sank into the sea.
Fortunately, all 7 crew members were brought ashore safely by fishing boat NA 90840 TS operated by Mr. Nguyen Duc Khanh, born in 1987, residing in Son Hai village, Tien Thuy commune, Quynh Luu district, operating nearby, ensuring the safety and health of the crew members.
Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station (Nghe An Provincial Border Guard) coordinated with local authorities to receive the crew members and hand them over to their families.
