Two young children drowned while swimming in an abandoned pond.
(Baonghean.vn) - Two young children drowned and died after swimming in an abandoned pond in Nghi Trung commune (Nghi Loc district) after returning from school.
According to initial information, at approximately 5:30 PM on November 10th, two children, D.QH (born in 2015) and D.H.Ng. (born in 2015), both residing in Hamlet 5, Nghi Trung Commune, Nghi Loc District, went to an abandoned pond in Hamlet 10, Nghi Trung Commune, Nghi Loc District to swim after returning from school. While swimming, the two children fell into a deep pool of water.
Some students standing nearby noticed what was happening and shouted for adults to come to the rescue. However, by the time they were brought ashore, both children had already died.
The bodies of the victims were subsequently handed over to their families for burial according to local customs.
