The Nghe An Football Federation held its first General Assembly.
(Baonghean.vn) - On November 12th, in Vinh City, the Nghe An Football Federation held its first General Assembly for the 2023-2028 term.
Attending the congress were comrades: Duong Nghiep Khoi - General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation; Ho Le Ngoc - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Internal Affairs Department of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; and representatives of the leadership of several departments and agencies.
In recent years, the movement for physical education and sports in general, and football in particular, has received strong and widespread investment from the Party Committee and government at all levels in Nghe An province, targeting all demographics, age groups, localities, and sectors.
Nghe An currently has 302 football centers of various levels, 1,134 clubs, 2,016 teams, over 100,000 people regularly practicing football, and 1,679 training fields of various types…; creating abundant resources to supply athletes to national teams and football training clubs nationwide.
In addition, Song Lam Nghe An is the strongest youth football training center in the country, with a tradition of over 40 years of development. It receives attention and investment from the provincial leadership, which directs its development towards training amateur talent teams in districts, cities, and towns (25 classes, U9-U10 age group).
The Department of Culture and Sports also collaborates with the Department of Education and Training to introduce football into schools; organizes youth and children's football tournaments and amateur talent classes to develop football, thereby discovering football talents early on and selecting them for centralized training in the province.
The province has assigned the task of training young football players to the Department of Culture and Sports, which has contracted to train 215 athletes from U11 to U21 age groups.
That is why the establishment and organization of the congress is necessary.Nghe An Football FederationThe first instance was a pressing issue that received the consensus of all segments of the population, marking a new stage of development for Nghe An football in a new phase.
The Nghe An Football Federation, upon its establishment, will have the mission of gathering and mobilizing all resources and efforts of organizations and individuals in society to promote the practice and competition of football, aiming to improve health, cultivate willpower and moral character, in accordance with the cultural traditions of Nghe An, especially among young people, students, and university students; continuing to maintain the achievements in youth football training and improving the ranking of Song Lam Nghe An Football Club, contributing to the fulfillment of political, economic, social, security, and national defense tasks.
Attending and giving a directive speech at the congress, Comrade Duong Nghiep Khoi stated that the Nghe An Football Federation Congress is an important event, attracting the attention of fans and public opinion; it is an opportunity to summarize and evaluate the results achieved and to set forth directions, tasks and solutions for the development of Nghe An football in the coming years.
The General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation expressed his wish that the Executive Committee of the Nghe An Football Federation for the 2023-2028 term would always allocate appropriate operating funds, actively and effectively contribute to the Federation's activities, and work together in unity and determination to strive for the strong development of the Nghe An Football Federation in the coming term, meeting the expectations of the leaders and the hopes of the numerous football fans in Nghe An.
In fulfilling its responsibilities, the Vietnam Football Federation is committed to creating all favorable conditions and supporting the Nghe An Football Federation in particular, and member football federations in general, to successfully achieve the goals and tasks set out in the new term.
The congress unanimously elected 31 comrades to the executive committee of the first term, 2023-2028.
Comrade Ho Le Ngoc - Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Internal Affairs Department of the Provincial Party Committee - was elected to the position of Honorary President of the Nghe An Football Federation for the first term, 2023-2028.
The congress also elected five comrades to the position of Vice Chairman, including:
1. Mr. Tran Trung Tuyen - Nghe An Amateur Football Association
2. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Nghia - Deputy General Director of Song Lam Nghe An
3. Mr. Nguyen Huu Phuong - Head of Sports Management Department, Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports
4. Mr. Le Giap - Head Representative of the Law and Life Magazine in Central Vietnam
5. Mr. Mai Hung Cuong - Director of Thanh Vinh Nghe An Fire Protection Equipment Joint Stock Company.
The congress also elected Mr. Vu Van Nam - Vice Principal of Nghe An Sports Talent School - as General Secretary; and Mr. Nguyen Van Phe - Representative of Dan Tri Newspaper in Nghe An - as Deputy General Secretary of the Federation.
