Tri Le is a highland border commune of Que Phong district, about 200km northwest of Vinh city, bordering Laos with a border length of 18.35km. Natural area 20,290 ha, rice area 450.8 ha.

The commune has 16 villages, with a total population of 10,992 people, including 2,146 households of 4 ethnic groups living together: Thai, Kinh, Mong, and Kho Mu. The commune party committee has 22 subordinate party cells, including 16 village party cells, with 560 party members.

With a large area, sparse population, and difficult economic conditions; some villages and hamlets do not have paved roads, community cultural houses, national grid electricity, telephone signals, or Internet systems..., but with the attention of the Party, the State, Nghe An province and Que Phong district for the highland border communes, Tri Le has made positive developments.

The material and spiritual life of the people has been improved, with an estimated average income of 21.3 million VND/person in 2023. The customs and cultural beauty of ethnic minorities are always preserved; bad customs are gradually pushed back and eliminated.

Education has gradually changed, people's awareness has been raised. The rate of children passing and attending universities, colleges, and vocational schools is increasing. Health care is always guaranteed, 100% of people have health insurance cards.

The ethnic communities in the area are united, attached, loving, and unanimous in carrying out movements, building many models of economic, cultural, social, and political development; ensuring national defense and security in many practical forms.

In particular, along with economic development, the Party Committee, government and people in the area have always done a good job of patrolling the border and landmarks; the models of "drug-free border communes" and "drug-free villages" have gradually become effective and have entered the hearts of the people.

With the spirit of mutual love and support, the commune has coordinated with all levels and sectors to propagate and mobilize people to complete 177 houses for poor households and households with housing difficulties in the area; including 138 prefabricated houses for families who are unable to build or repair their own houses. Currently, there are 63 households being mobilized to implement, including 16 prefabricated houses. Through mobilization, about 200 people have participated in supporting working days to build houses.

Delighted with the leaders of Nghe An province and the Fatherland Front at all levels attending the festival, comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang expressed his impression when witnessing the exciting atmosphere of the people in Tri Le commune, Que Phong district; at the same time, he acknowledged and praised the achievements that Tri Le people have made great efforts to achieve in the recent past.

Sau 20 năm triển khai, Ngày hội Đại đoàn kết toàn dân đã thực sự trở thành nét đẹp, khẳng định truyền thống quý báu và giá trị cốt lõi của dân tộc, chủ trương mang tầm chiến lược của Đảng ta. “Hôm nay tôi nghe phát biểu của đồng chí Chủ tịch Uỷ ban MTTQ xã Tri Lễ, cho thấy sự thấm nhuần sâu sắc chủ trương lớn của Đảng và tổ chức triển khai thực hiện rất tốt. Tri Lễ được xem là điểm xa nhất của vùng Tây Bắc tỉnh Nghệ An, giáp biên giới nước bạn Lào. Bài phát biểu đã cho thấy rất rõ điều kiện cụ thể của Tri Lễ, với cách làm đúng, hiện thực hoá những phương hướng đại đoàn kết gắn liền với sinh kế, tạo môi trường vật chất và tinh thần để người dân thụ hưởng thành quả của sự nghiệp chúng ta” - đồng chí Nguyễn Xuân Thắng ghi nhận.

Giám đốc Học viện Chính trị Quốc gia Hồ Chí Minh chia sẻ thêm, tới đây, Trung ương sẽ ban hành Nghị quyết mới về phát huy đại đoàn kết toàn dân tộc, hoàn thành sự nghiệp xây dựng, bảo vệ Tổ quốc trong thời kỳ mới. Dù còn nhiều khó khăn, nhưng đồng chí Nguyễn Xuân Thắng bày tỏ mong muốn bà con nhân dân xã Tri Lễ sẽ tiếp tục phát huy những thành quả đã đạt được để làm tốt hơn nữa.

“Tỷ lệ hộ nghèo còn lớn quá, đến 68,13%, hộ cận nghèo còn hơn 18%. Đây là thách thức rất lớn. Tôi mong các đồng chí lãnh đạo tỉnh, lãnh đạo huyện, đã có những quan tâm rất nhiều thì tiếp tục quan tâm, chỉ đạo sâu sát hơn nữa để những hộ đã thoát nghèo phải giàu lên, những hộ đang nghèo thì nâng dần để tỉ lệ hộ nghèo giảm trong thành tích chung của tỉnh, của cả nước. Chúng ta cũng cần chú ý đến giảm nghèo đa chiều, không chỉ giảm nghèo về thu nhập, đời sống mà rất phải quan tâm đến cả giáo dục, y tế, tiếp cận thông tin… “ - đồng chí Nguyễn Xuân Thắng nói.

Đồng chí mong muốn lãnh đạo địa phương tăng cường toàn diện các giải pháp phát triển kinh tế - xã hội; tích cực chia sẻ những mô hình hay, cách làm mới, những hộ tiên phong sẽ tạo điều kiện để hỗ trợ những hộ đi sau tiến lên cùng. Bên cạnh đó, cần chú ý đến công tác bảo đảm an ninh xã hội, mong trên địa bàn hạn chế, từng bước chấm dứt tệ nạn, tiêu cực, dẹp bỏ lạc hậu, xây dựng nếp sống mới.
