'The General Secretary's book is a handbook on national unity'

On the afternoon of November 18, at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front chaired and coordinated with the Central Propaganda Department and the National Political Publishing House Truth to organize the launching ceremony of the book Promoting the tradition of great national unity, building our country to be increasingly rich, civilized and happy by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
The launching ceremony of the General Secretary's book on national solidarity was held on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front - the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2023); the ceremony was connected to the bridge points in countries where the members of the Presidium and Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front are present, such as the Russian Federation, Australia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, etc.
Party Central Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department Vu Thanh Mai, and Director - Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House Truth Vu Trong Lam chaired the ceremony.
In order to systematize the leadership and direction of the Party, headed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, on building and promoting the tradition of great national unity, helping all levels, sectors, localities, cadres, party members, people of all walks of life and international friends to understand, grasp and implement this important work more effectively, and at the same time, orient the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army to continue to strengthen solidarity, unity, unity, efforts and strive to overcome all difficulties and challenges, to build Vietnam to be increasingly rich, civilized, prosperous and happy, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front presided over and coordinated with the National Political Publishing House Truth and the Communist Magazine to publish the book by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
Talking about the meaning, importance and content of the book, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien stated that this is a valuable book summarizing practices, supplementing and elevating theories on the cause of great national unity, which has been deeply researched and analyzed, gathering documents, images, articles and typical speeches of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong with the Vietnam Fatherland Front, political and social organizations, the masses and all classes in society. These are outstanding ideas, profound vision, dialectics and practices on great national unity, following Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought, in line with the reality of the Vietnamese revolution.

The book includes an Overview and 75 typical speeches, articles, speeches, interviews, letters, appeals, along with 142 simple, everyday photos of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong during his visits and work in 63 provinces, cities and many agencies and units.
Launched on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front, the book not only has special value, but will also be a long-term handbook on theory, practice, and historical significance, on promoting the strength of great national unity in the current period, thereby helping Party committees, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, cadres and party members in the political system to study and apply in practice; it is a political basis for thoroughly grasping and building an action program to implement the Resolution of the 8th Central Conference, Session XIII, on continuing to promote the tradition of great national unity, building our country to be increasingly rich, prosperous, civilized and happy.
Providing more information about the editing and publishing process of the book, Mr. Vu Trong Lam, Director - Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House, Truth, said that the book consists of 748 pages, divided into 3 parts.
Part 1: Great national unity - Endogenous strength, the decisive factor for the victory of the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, including 5 articles and speeches by the General Secretary, demonstrating the strategic leadership of the head of our Party in the task of promoting the tradition of national unity, in which the Vietnam Fatherland Front plays the role of the political core, the nucleus of unity, together with political and social organizations to mobilize, gather and rally a large number of people from all walks of life.
