On the morning of November 22, Meritorious Artist Do Ky shared that he felt shocked and sad when he received a notice that his application for the People's Artist title had been "rejected". The reason for the application being shelved was because of a complaint and the opinion of the Ministry of Public Security, so he was not eligible to be nominated for the People's Artist title.

Whether we are awarded a title or not, we will still do our job. We do our job not to strive for a title. Without a title, we are still Do Ky and Lan Huong.
