Computer Science, Information Security, Multimedia Communications; Mechanical Technology - Automation, Electricity - Electronics; Food Technology, Biotechnology, Medicine and Pharmacy... are among the 18 occupations requiring university graduates as listed by the Ministry of Education and Training.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the goals for higher education are set out in Resolution No. 81/2023/QH15 of the National Assembly dated January 9, 2023.

Specifically, by 2030, the university student ratio will reach 260 people per 10,000 people. The demand for developing university training professions is changing and becoming more and more diverse. That is the trend of shifting to high-tech fields (such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science...), with the development of the digital economy and the 4.0 industrial revolution, to meet the needs of the labor market.

Forecasting human resource needs for industries in Vietnam depends on the situation and development trends of each field. In the context of rapidly changing technological knowledge, equipping people with self-learning methods and lifelong learning awareness is more important than knowledge in training programs.

The Ministry of Education and Training lists a number of majors that need a lot of university-level human resources, such as: Computer Science, Information Security, Multimedia Communications; Mechanical Technology - Automation, Electricity - Electronics; Food Technology, Biotechnology, Agriculture - Forestry - Fisheries Technology; Architecture, Construction, Environment, Applied Fine Arts; Economics - Trade, Tourism and Travel, Restaurants - Hotels; Medicine, Pharmacy, Health Care - Beauty Care; Pedagogy, Psychology - Society...

The Ministry of Education and Training also believes that Healthcare is one of the important professions in Vietnam. To meet the needs of the labor market, human resource development orientations in this sector include increasing training in new specialties such as molecular medicine, genetic medicine, etc. and promoting the improvement of the qualifications of doctors and nurses, increasing the ratio of doctors per 10,000 people.

According to the orientation of the demand for university-level doctors and pharmacists identified in the draft Report on the Planning of the Health Facility Network for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, by 2025, the target will be 15 doctors and 2.8 university pharmacists (25 nurses) per 10,000 people; By 2030, the target will be 19 doctors and 3.0 university pharmacists (33 nurses) per 10,000 people. By 2050, the target will be 35 doctors (90 nurses) per 10,000 people.

Forecasts on health human resources show that the demand for doctors and nurses will continue to increase over the years and there will be a large shortage after 2030, especially nurses (the shortage of nurses is twice as large as the shortage of doctors). In the period of 2021-2030, the country needs to add about 173,400 more doctors and 313,900 nurses.../.
