Naval Region 1 Command and the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee of 6 provinces reviewed the coordination work of propagating seas and islands.
(Baonghean.vn) - In 2 days (November 30 and December 1), the Naval Region 1 Command held a conference to review the coordination of propaganda work on seas and islands in 2023 and sign a propaganda coordination plan for 2024.
The conference aimed to evaluate the results of the propaganda coordination program between the Naval Region 1 Command and the propaganda committees of the provincial Party Committees of 6 provinces, including Nghe An, Tuyen Quang, Nam Dinh, Quang Ninh, Thai Binh and Hung Yen.
Attending the conference were Rear Admiral Pham Van Luyen - Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of the Navy; Rear Admiral Tran Xuan Van - Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Naval Region 1 Command; representatives of leaders and experts of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committees of the 6 above-mentioned provinces; representatives of the Navy and more than 200 officers and soldiers of the Regional Command.
In 2023, the coordination of sea and island propaganda work between the Naval Region 1 Command and the provincial Party Committee's propaganda department has achieved important results, contributing to the success of ensuring national defense and security of seas and islands; raising awareness and responsibility, arousing patriotism, confidence, national pride and self-esteem; strongly changing the consciousness and actions of the people to join hands, contribute, and mobilize all resources for the cause of socio-economic development associated with the management and protection of the seas and islands of the Fatherland. At the same time, building strong national defense and security potential in localities, actively preventing and combating "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" in the field of national defense and security according to the motto "Peaceful sea associated with strong shore, strong shore associated with peaceful sea"; promptly handling situations, avoiding passivity and surprise.
Many forms of coordinated propaganda have been effectively implemented, such as programs and models: "Accompanying fishermen to stay at sea", "The Navy sponsors fishermen's children"; coordinating the organization for 90 officers and reporters to visit, encourage and work at Truong Sa island, DK1 platform.
Sectors and localities organized and implemented programs such as: giving gifts, national flags and necessary items to fishermen; responding to the "Fund for Vietnam's seas and islands", "National seas and islands week"... The Naval Region 1 Command also chaired and coordinated with localities to sponsor 33 children of fishermen in coastal provinces with difficult circumstances until the age of 18, with a value of 197 million VND, of which Nghe An has 3 children in Nghi Loc district.
At the conference, the Navy and the Naval Region 1 Command awarded Certificates of Merit to 17 collectives and 17 individuals with outstanding achievements in 2023.
Within the framework of the conference program, delegates participated in many meaningful activities: Visiting the Bach Dang Giang Historical Site; offering incense at the Monument to the heroic martyrs in Naval Region 1.
