Pham Phuong Thao, the youngest singer to be awarded the title of People's Artist
Upon hearing the news that her name was on the list to be awarded the title of People's Artist for the 10th time, artist Phuong Thao was very happy. The female singer said that the first person she shared the honor with was her mother, who had been on the list for many years… borrowing money to pay for her children's education.
Being named in the list of people awarded the title of People's Artist for the 10th time (according to Decision No. 1431/QD-CTN signed by President Vo Van Thuong on November 28), however, Artist Phuong Thao said that she has not received any official notice about being awarded the title of People's Artist, only knowing indirectly through the sharing and congratulations of journalists, colleagues, and friends, but she is still very happy, touched, and extremely excited and looking forward to it.
She plans to have her mother, the special person in her life, the first person to share her joy when she makes the official decision, whose name has been on the "loan" list for many years to "support" her in completing her studies.

Phuong Thao said: "I started my artistic career at the age of 16. Although the tuition fee was taken care of by the Song and Dance Troupe and the province, I still had to pay for my own food. My parents were farmers, the family was very poor, with many children going to school, it was extremely difficult. To have a small amount of money for Thao's monthly living expenses, my mother had to borrow money and wait for the harvest season to gradually pay it off. For as many years as Thao went to school, my mother was on the list of... local debtors. But my mother never worried, always encouraging me to try. In front of such noble titles, a young person like Thao sometimes did not dare to think too much, simply understood that it was a priceless gift that Thao strived to give to her parents."

Regarding her feelings about continuing to be the youngest artist in this awarding ceremony (in 2016, when receiving the title of Meritorious Artist, Phuong Thao was also the youngest artist - just over 30 years old), Phuong Thao shared: "Before these noble titles, Thao's main emotions were emotion, excitement and especially gratitude. It can be said that despite her young age and the very noble title, Thao really did not feel pressured.
In fact, Thao was supported by the audience, cared for by the agency and colleagues, created conditions for her to work for enough years, then competed, strived and trained, won awards and medals, and submitted to the state according to regulations. When Thao entered the Vietnam Music and Dance Theater, there were already veteran artists such as People's Artist Thu Hien, People's Artist Thai Bao... Her uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters had a long journey of dedication from wartime to peacetime. Thao's generation only needs to look at that to learn, strive and inherit."

"The noble title for a young artist is not only the recognition of the management agency, leaders and the public, but also a prestigious laurel wreath adorning their career. It gives young people better direction and more motivation to strive to affirm their worthiness of what has been awarded," artist Phuong Thao continued.

Considered a multi-talented artist, artist Pham Phuong Thao not only has achievements in her stage performance career, but also through her works in the albums she has released that are very popular such asA song of love, Lullaby of the country, Dream of the homeland, A little love I send… but she also has impressive self-composed works such asThe man returns home in glory, the girl from Nghe An…and also in poetry like poetry collectionsGo through youth.
