Life insurance compensates for financial losses in the face of unpredictable risks.
(Baonghean.vn) - As one of the leading units in the insurance payment industry, on December 9, at Muong Thanh Hotel (Vinh City), Prudential Vietnam held a ceremony to pay more than 4.1 billion VND in insurance benefits to a customer in Nghi Kim Commune (Vinh City).
Like many people, when participating in insurance, Mr. Phung Hong Ngoc, 30 years old (Nghi Kim commune, Vinh city) wanted to save money to take care of his family and secure the future. Previously, around the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2023, Mr. N. participated in two contracts, Pru-Flexible Investment unit-linked insurance products of Prudential. Unfortunately, in June 2023, Mr. Ngoc suddenly passed away.
Immediately after receiving the information, the contract care consultant and the Prudential Tay Vinh General Agency office visited, encouraged, and guided the family to complete the necessary procedures to receive insurance benefits. Fulfilling its commitment, on December 4, Prudential decided to pay Mr. Ngoc's family a total of more than 4.1 billion VND, including insurance benefits and contract fund value of the two contracts mentioned above.
In fact, every year, the amount of money paid by the life insurance industry is very large and has increased compared to the previous year. At the same time, it increasingly shows its role in ensuring financial security for the family, especially in cases where the breadwinner encounters unexpected risks. According to a report by Prudential, up to 80% of customers receiving insurance benefits are of working age. This is a group that plays an important role from earning money to taking care of the family. Insurance benefits have helped to compensate for financial losses caused by risks such as accidents or serious illnesses. Thanks to that, customers and their families are somewhat assured to overcome difficulties.
As of June 2023, Prudential has paid VND 5,977 billion, accounting for about 23% of the total payment of the entire life insurance industry in Vietnam, an increase of 31% over the same period last year. Notably, two customers in Can Tho and Long An were paid VND 23 billion and VND 9.7 billion in insurance benefits, respectively. These are recorded as the two cases receiving the largest insurance compensation amounts at Prudential in 2023.
Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Deputy General Director of Insurance Transactions of Prudential said: "With the motto of customer is the compass, Prudential constantly improves the payment process through automation, to reduce the time to process customer requests. This partly demonstrates Prudential's commitment to be "the most trusted companion and protector".,especially at times when customers encounter difficulties or incidents," Ms. Ha emphasized.
By promoting digitalization to bring the best service to customers, Prudential said that the unit receives about 500 insurance benefit claims per day, of which up to 80% are submitted online. The rate of claims processed within 30 minutes is nearly 17% and nearly half of these claims are processed on the same day.
