Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy visits and works with the Vietnamese Embassy in India
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 13, in New Delhi, during his visit and work in India, comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province visited and worked at the Vietnamese Embassy in India.
The delegation included comrade Pham Trong Hoang - Member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; members of the Provincial Party Committee's Executive Committee: Nguyen Dinh Hung - Chief of the Provincial Party Committee's Office; Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa - Director of the Department of Health; Hoang Thi Thu Trang - Director of the Department of Justice; Nguyen Viet Hung - Director of the Department of Home Affairs; Hoang Quoc Viet - Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Bui Duy Dong - Secretary of the Do Luong District Party Committee. Also attending were comrades: Tran Khanh Thuc - Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs; Bui Duy Son - Chief of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation, the Provincial People's Council and representatives of leaders of a number of agencies.
Receiving and working with the delegation were comrade Nguyen Thanh Hai - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to India and staff of the Embassy.
Before working, the Provincial Party Secretary and the delegation of Nghe An province offered incense at the altar of Uncle Ho in the Embassy headquarters.
At the meeting, pleased to visit the Vietnamese Embassy in India, Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy sent his best wishes and sincerely thanked Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai and the Embassy for taking the time to welcome and support them effectively in connecting and carefully arranging the delegation's activities in India.
The head of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee discussed with Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai about the socio-economic development situation of Nghe An province in 2023. Accordingly, this year, the province's GRDP growth rate reached 7.14%, budget revenue was estimated at 18,500 billion VND; FDI attraction reached nearly 1.5 billion USD.
Comrade Thai Thanh Quy also informed about the cooperative relationship between Nghe An and Indian partners.
In particular, implementing the foreign affairs and integration policies of the Party and State, in recent years, Nghe An has actively and proactively deployed the international integration strategy, promoting cooperation activities with countries around the world.
Nghe An province recognizes that India is a large market with many strengths in a number of fields such as: Information technology, automobile technology, pharmaceuticals, construction investment and port management - fields that the province is interested in attracting investment in. With a population of 1.4 billion, India is a large tourism market with great potential.
Thereby, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy hopes that in the coming time, Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai and the Vietnamese Embassy in India will continue to support the province in activities of contacting Indian businesses, creating a bridge to introduce businesses, connecting investment funds and partners to learn about and invest in Nghe An, especially in the above-mentioned fields.
Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai expressed his pleasure to welcome the high-ranking delegation of Nghe An province to visit and work in India; expressed his impression and congratulated the achievements in economic and social development of the province.
The Ambassador informed the delegation about the economic and social situation in India and the cooperative relationship between the two countries. In particular, India is currently developing rapidly, with an economy of nearly 4,000 billion USD, the 5th largest in the world.
Currently, large Indian investors are very interested in the Vietnamese market, thereby, Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai assessed that the province's working trip and investment promotion in India this time is very timely.
Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai assessed: The fields that Nghe An identified to attract investment from India are on point and have exchanged and suggested additional information to support Nghe An's investment promotion in the Indian market.
The Ambassador also said that he is ready to support and connect to promote the development of the relationship between Nghe An province and Indian partners, contributing to the development of the province and the general relationship between the two countries.
