Song Con Sugarcane Joint Stock Company enters the crushing season, purchasing sugarcane for nearly 1.1 million VND/ton
(Baonghean.vn) - This year's crushing season, Song Con Sugarcane Joint Stock Company purchased raw sugarcane at a higher price than last year, and at the same time invested in upgrading the production line, improving product quality, and meeting market demands.
Song Con Sugarcane Joint Stock Company(Tan Ky) officially entered the crushing season from December 4, currently stabilizing production with a capacity of 3,000 to 3,300 tons of sugarcane/day.
Mr. Nguyen Ba Quy - Deputy Director of Song Con Sugarcane Joint Stock Company said: This year due to the dry weather, the expected yield will not be as high as expected, but still higher than last year, with some places reaching over 100 tons/ha. In particular, the arearaw sugarcaneincreased by about 25% compared to the previous crop, with a total area of more than 6,000 hectares in the districts: Tan Ky, Yen Thanh, Do Luong, Con Cuong, Anh Son...
Right from the beginning of the harvest season, the company purchased sugarcane from farmers at a higher price than last year, at 1,180,000 VND/ton at the field, including a support of 50,000 VND/ton for loading sugarcane onto the truck and 30,000 VND for households harvesting sugarcane at the beginning of the season, so farmers were excited.
In order to reduce labor and costs for sugarcane growers, the company continues to apply mechanization in harvesting and land preparation to plant new sugarcane areas in the future. The new planting plan for the 2024-2025 crop year is expected to plant 1,900 hectares of new sugarcane varieties with high yields.
