German journalist: Ukraine is hiding the truth about the situation on the front line
(Baonghean.vn) - Journalist Paul Ronzheimer, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Bild (Germany), who visited Ukraine for 3 days, said that in Kiev, the leaders are keeping silent about the actual situation on the front.

According to Ria Novosti, journalist Paul Ronzheimer wrote on social network X: “Three days in Ukraine, where I met with Defense Minister Umerov and a number of other officials and military personnel, showed me something special: official statements are becoming less and less consistent with the image presented at press conferences or in interviews.”
According to Ronzheimer, Ukraine's main problems, such as the lack of soldiers, ammunition and Russia's superiority on the battlefield, are only discussed "behind closed doors." If things continue in this spirit, time will clearly favor Russia, Ronzheimer believes. Therefore, Ukrainian officials must honestly admit Kiev's problems.
On December 22, Ukrainian presidential adviser Mikhail Podolyak admitted that Ukraine’s counteroffensive had not brought the results Kiev had hoped for. The Ukrainian armed forces are trying to advance in the direction of Yuzhnodonetsk, Artemovsk and Zaporozhye, sending NATO-trained and equipped brigades to the front.
In addition, the New York Times said that the Russian army has gained the initiative along most of the front, in the special operations area in Ukraine. Recent Russian attacks are also evidence that Russia has firmly grasped the initiative.
The situation on the front is difficult and getting worse, Egor Chernev, deputy chairman of the National Security, Defense and Intelligence Committee of Ukraine, told the New York Times. According to him, without American ammunition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces would begin to lose the territories they had gained control of.
