Nghe An summarizes activities of grassroots amateur gifted football classes
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 29, the Department of Culture and Sports and Song Lam Nghe An Sports Joint Stock Company held a conference to summarize the system of grassroots amateur classes in 2023 and deploy tasks for 2024.
Implementing the policy of the Provincial People's Committee, the contract with the Department of Culture and Sports, in 2023, Song Lam Nghe An Sports Joint Stock Company opened 25 amateur talent classes in 17 districts, cities and towns, with a total of 500 athletes aged 8-11.
In 2023, out of 66 athletes selected for Song Lam Nghe An youth football training centers, 40 athletes were selected from 14/25 basic gifted classes, of which the most typical are the training classes at Song Lam Nghe An Club and Thanh Chuong, Quy Hop, Dien Chau, Yen Thanh districts, and Hoang Mai town.
Distribution of amateur gifted football classes in Nghe An province:
- Vinh City: 4 classes.
- Yen Thanh district 3 classes.
- Districts and towns: Quy Hop, Quynh Luu and Thai Hoa town each have 2 classes.
- Districts and towns: Dien Chau, Hoang Mai Town, Do Luong, Tuong Duong, Quy Chau, Tan Ky, Anh Son, Nam Dan, Hung Nguyen, Cua Lo Town, Nghi Loc, Thanh Chuong each unit has 1 class.
During the year, Song Lam Nghe An Youth Football Training Center successfully organizedamateur football tournament for gifted classesin Tan Ky district and Dien Chau district.
The conference also pointed out some shortcomings and limitations in the activities of grassroots amateur gifted football classes such as: The coordination between the Song Lam Nghe An Youth Football Training Center and the Department of Culture - Information; the Center for Culture, Sports and Communication, and schools in the province is not synchronized and smooth.
In addition, most amateur football coaches have many tasks, so the time for training and searching for athletes is limited, affecting the quality. The salary regime and training tools are not guaranteed to be provided on time, affecting the working mentality of the coaches. The survey of class locations in some places is still subjective and not close to the actual situation.
In particular, athlete training in some classes is still weak. Specifically, 11/25 classes have not been able to provide talented athletes for the Song Lam Nghe An Youth Football Training Center.
In order to improve the effectiveness of amateur football talent classes at the grassroots level in 2024, the conference discussed and agreed to implement solutions such as: Increasing the scale of organizing amateur football tournaments by expanding the number of participants such as: athletes of community football classes, students of some primary schools... to improve the efficiency and quality of selected athletes.
In addition, promote propaganda work on mass media in different areas to attract talented football players to participate in training, improve mobilization work, convince the masses to understand the true nature of football training to create favorable conditions for selecting and calling athletes for training.
In addition, practical research is conducted at a number of football training centers nationwide to continue improving the quality of training of grassroots talented athletes.
