Breaking up a case, arresting 3 suspects in a human trafficking crime ring
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Border Guard has just coordinated with the Northern Anti-Drug and Crime Task Force to break up Project NA 1223P and arrest 3 subjects in a human trafficking crime ring.
Previously, on December 14, 2023, after receiving a criminal complaint from the victim Hung Thi U., residing in Xop Tu village, My Ly commune, Ky Son district, about being tricked by subjects to be sold abroad in 2014, Nghe An Provincial Border Guard established a special project NA 1223P and directed the Department of Drug and Crime Prevention, My Ly Border Guard Station to coordinate with the Northern Drug and Crime Prevention Task Force (Border Guard Command) to investigate, verify, and arrest related subjects in the Hung Thi U. trafficking ring abroad.
After more than 15 days of active investigation, verification, and consolidation of evidence; the investigation force identified 3 subjects: Vi Thi Vien, born in 1976, residing in Con Muong village, Luu Kien commune, Tuong Duong district, temporarily residing at house number 20, Dau Vu block, Van Dau ward, Kien An district, Hai Phong city; Kha Van Ngoc, born in 1963, residing in Dong Tien village, Lang Khe commune, Con Cuong district and Lo Thi Thuyen, born in 1964, residing in Xop Tu village, My Ly commune, Ky Son district, as the subjects who tricked U. into selling abroad.
Through the investigation, the above subjects admitted to discussing and deceiving Hung Thi U. into selling her abroad in 2014 to divide the money.
Nghe An Provincial Border Guard has directed My Ly Border Guard Station to coordinate in completing the case file, initiating a criminal case, transferring the file and the suspect to the Nghe An Provincial Police Investigation Agency for further investigation according to the provisions of law.
