Authorities arrested a suspect for possessing over 720kg of fireworks.
(Baonghean.vn) - On December 31st, the Dien Chau District Police announced that they had arrested Tran Van Hung, residing in Dien Ky commune, Dien Chau district, for the crime of "Possessing prohibited goods".
Accordingly, in early December 2023, through investigation, the Dien Chau District Police discovered that Tran Van Hung (born in 1968, residing in Dien Ky commune) showed suspicious signs of criminal activity, so they established a special case to concentrate forces and resources to combat and arrest him.
After closely monitoring the suspect's movements for some time, at approximately 7:00 AM on December 30, 2023, the Dien Chau District Police successfully cracked the case, apprehending Tran Van Hung red-handed for the crime of "Possessing prohibited goods," seizing over 720 kg of fireworks (36-piece packs).
At the Dien Chau District Police Investigation Department, Tran Van Hung confessed to all of his criminal acts.
Currently, the Dien Chau District Police have placed Tran Van Hung under temporary criminal detention to continue the investigation and expand the case.
