(Baonghean.vn) - That is the opinion of comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee at the Conference on deploying the work in 2024 of the People's Court of Nghe An province.

On the morning of January 8, Nghe An Provincial People's Court held a conference to deploy work in 2024. Attending the conference were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Nguyen Nam Dinh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Hong Vinh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

On behalf of the High People's Court in Hanoi, there were comrades: Nguyen Thi Thanh Xuan - Deputy Chief Justice; Thai Duy Nhiem - Chief Justice of the Labor Court.

11,829 cases resolved

In 2023, the People's Courts at two levels of Nghe An province carried out their tasks in a context of many difficulties and challenges, but with the thorough understanding and active implementation of many effective solutions, the results achieved in all aspects of work basically met the requirements.

In 2023, the People's Courts at two levels accepted 12,409 cases and resolved 11,829 cases, reaching a rate of 95.3%; an increase compared to 2022 (accepted 12,397, resolved 11,973 cases).

The rate of resolving all types of cases exceeded the target set by the Court's Directive (the rate of resolving criminal cases reached 98.2%, exceeding 8.2%; civil cases reached 92%, exceeding 7%; administrative cases reached 73%, exceeding 8%). The rate of judgments and decisions annulled or amended due to subjective reasons was 0.3%, 1.2% lower than the target required by the National Assembly's Resolution (not exceeding 1.5%).

Along with that, the People's Courts at two levels coordinated with the Procuracies at all levels to organize 287 experience-sharing sessions (an increase of 13 sessions compared to the previous year), thereby helping judges to enhance their sense of responsibility in preparing for trials and improving their experience in organizing trials.

In 2023, the People's Court of Nghe An province at 2 levels had 18/31 collectives awarded the title: "Excellent Labor Collective"; 13 collectives awarded the title: "Advanced Labor Collective"; The Provincial People's Court was awarded the Emulation Flag of the Provincial People's Committee; 3 collectives of the District People's Court were awarded the Emulation Flag of the People's Court; 7 collectives were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court; 42 individuals were awarded the title of Grassroots Emulation Fighter; 46 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court (15 civil servants, workers; 31 People's Jurors); 189 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chief Justice of the Provincial People's Court (100 civil servants, workers; 89 People's Jurors). 3 Judges were awarded the title "Excellent Judge".

Focus on resolving cases within the prescribed time limit

Based on the achieved results, Nghe An Provincial People's Court determined that in 2024, it will continue to synchronously implement solutions to speed up progress and improve the quality of handling and adjudicating all types of cases, striving to achieve and exceed assigned targets.

Thoroughly overcome the problem of cases being overdue for trial due to subjective reasons; ensure strict, objective, fair and lawful trials, without injustice, mistakes or criminals being let go; focus on doing a good job of mediation and dialogue in resolving disputes and complaints...

Speaking at the conference, comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved in 2023 by the People's Courts at two levels. The quality and effectiveness of the trial work of the courts have been improved, effectively protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the State, organizations and citizens, contributing to maintaining political stability, social order and safety, and actively contributing to the development of the province.

Regarding the direction and tasks for 2024, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that the People's Court of Nghe An province will continue to direct units to synchronously implement breakthrough solutions, close to reality to improve the effectiveness of all aspects of work.
