(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Ethnic Boarding College is one of 18 specialized schools nationwide specializing in vocational training for ethnic minorities.
Right from the first days of its establishment, the school was chosen as a key vocational school, with the task of providing vocational training at intermediate and elementary levels and providing job counseling and referrals to workers, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the southwestern mountainous districts of the province.
Over the years, the school has continuously promoted its strengths, overcome difficulties, focused on improving the quality of teaching and learning, and emphasized innovative solutions in management and quality control of vocational training.
In the 2022 - 2023 school year, the whole school has 27 intermediate classes with 832 students; of which 11.9% are excellent and excellent; there are 2 student startup idea projects participating at the provincial level for the first time, of which 1 project won the First Prize, 1 project won the Encouragement Prize; 1 project won the National Idea Competition; 18 teachers participating in the school-level excellent teacher competition all won prizes, of which 4 First Prize winners were sent by the school to participate in the Provincial Vocational Education Teacher Teaching Conference in October 2023; 8 students passed the school-level vocational skills competition, 1 student passed the provincial vocational skills competition.

Last year, the school awarded intermediate degrees to 354 students, introduced 337 students to work in fashion sewing, welding, civil electricity, industrial electricity, in units such as: Hai Phong Export Garment Company, Tinh Loi Garment Company (Hai Duong)... Training, improving professional qualifications for staff, teachers, and scientific research continued to receive attention. In the 2022 - 2023 school year, the school received many noble awards: The Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs awarded 2 individuals with outstanding achievements, the school collective was awarded the Emulation Flag and Certificate of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
In the 2023-2024 school year, the school recruited more than 1,425 new students, reaching 121.3% of the target; opened 36 classes with 1,051 students, including 2 industrial electricity classes, 6 civil electricity classes, 7 welding classes, 13 fashion sewing classes, 6 veterinary classes, and 2 automotive technology classes.
