Nghe An Health Sector deploys tasks for 2024
(Baonghean.vn) - Deploying the tasks of 2024, the Director of the Department of Health launched an emulation movement of the health sector and the People's Committee of Nghe An province in the spirit of "strengthening discipline and responsibility, being proactive, timely, accelerating, creative, effective and sustainable".
On the afternoon of January 22, Nghe An Department of Health held a conference to summarize medical work in 2023 and deploy tasks for 2024.
Attending the conference were comrades: Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vo Van Dung - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department. Representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors; Vinh Medical University; districts, cities and towns; medical units in the province.
Achieved and exceeded many important targets
In 2023, with the attention, leadership and close direction of the Ministry of Health, the efforts, solidarity, consensus and high determination of the entire provincial political system, the leadership team and doctors, Nghe An Health sector has basically completed the task of caring for and protecting people's health.
The whole sector has completed 6/6 main health targets in the socio-economic plan assigned by the Provincial People's Council; 8/9 targets assigned by the Provincial People's Committee; 5/5 targets assigned by the Party Congress Resolution for the 2020-2025 term, of which 2 targets exceeded the 2023 plan (Number of doctors/10,000 people; Rate of commune, ward and town health stations with doctors working).
The health sector has done a good job in preventing and fighting COVID-19 and other infectious diseases, preventing overlapping epidemics and widespread outbreaks; ensuring vaccination. Food safety and hygiene has been ensured, preventing major poisoning incidents. Population work, testing, and medical examination have been carried out well.
The work of medical examination and treatment to improve people's health continues to be focused on, improving the quality and service attitude, increasingly meeting people's satisfaction; strengthening the implementation of specialized and high-tech medical techniques at provincial and district level units, transferring from upper to lower levels; effectively combining traditional medical examination and treatment with modern medicine. In particular, Nghe An General Hospital has successfully implemented organ transplantation from brain-dead donors.
In 2023, medical units in the province examined and treated 6,686,718 patients, of which 823,185 were inpatients. The average number of days of treatment in the province was 6.87 days..
The health sector has also strengthened its organizational structure, built and improved the quality of human resources; focused on developing primary health care and preventive medicine with many positive solutions; developed a variety of quality health services to meet the people's needs for medical examination and treatment. Hospital quality management and the construction of a 5S hospital environment have seen many changes. Coordination and support between public and private hospitals in emergency care, medical examination and treatment have been enhanced.
Along with that, the industry has actively implemented national target programs, projects, and plans, focusing on removing and resolving difficulties and problems of projects that are being delayed; actively solving the problem of purchasing and bidding for drugs, supplies, and medical equipment, preventing prolonged shortages, ensuring timely supply for epidemic prevention and control and medical examination and treatment for people.
Deep medical knowledge, rich in medical ethics, good at medical skills
At the conference, delegates focused on analyzing and evaluating the achieved results, shortcomings, limitations and lessons learned, and causes to have specific solutions to overcome them; at the same time, discussing, clarifying and agreeing on key tasks and specific solutions to carry out the tasks in 2024.
Accordingly, in 2024, Nghe An Health sector sets out the following goals and directions of operation: Proactively focusing on disease prevention and control measures, not allowing diseases to break out and spread widely in the community; strengthening the effectiveness of State management of health; continuing to improve the quality of hospitals, improving the quality of medical examination and treatment, promoting the development of high-tech expertise, new techniques, in-depth and multi-specialty techniques to build the health system of Vinh city into the core of the specialized medical center of the North Central region.
Strictly control and ensure food safety; effectively carry out population and family planning work; ensure adequate supply of medicines and medical equipment to meet the full and timely needs in medical examination, treatment and disease prevention; innovate the operating mechanism, effectively implement autonomy in medical facilities; promote administrative reform, apply information technology, have a positive service attitude in medical examination and treatment, manage and use health insurance funds in accordance with regulations and effectively; implement State management over the private medical and pharmaceutical practice sector.
Speaking at the conference, Comrade Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and commended the achievements of Nghe An Health Sector in 2023. At the same time, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also pointed out the remaining shortcomings and limitations that need to be seriously overcome and focused on in the coming time.
Comrade Bui Dinh Long requested the Nghe An Health sector to continue implementing 11 tasks and solutions to improve the quality of medical work and health care for the people, successfully implementing Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW, dated July 18, 2023 of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province to 2030, with a vision to 2045: Improving the capacity and effectiveness of preventive medicine associated with innovation of the grassroots health system; improving the quality of medical examination and treatment, towards patient satisfaction.
Mobilize resources to invest in building and upgrading equipment of medical facilities in a synchronous, modern and effective manner; innovate and improve the quality and efficiency of hospital and medical facility management; promote administrative reform, apply information technology, digital transformation in the medical field, gradually implement the smart medical model...
In her closing speech at the conference, comrade Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa - Director of Nghe An Department of Health accepted the instructions of Nghe An provincial leaders and requested health units to unite, be unanimous, and determined to overcome difficulties, actively innovate and be creative in management and operation; compete to best implement assigned targets, plans and tasks; achieve many outstanding achievements in the emulation movement of the health sector and the emulation movement launched by the Provincial People's Committee, with the theme "Strengthening discipline and responsibility, being proactive and timely, accelerating, being creative and effective, and sustainable".
