Central Youth Union organizes a series of activities 'Sharing Tet, prosperous Dragon Year' in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, together with SABECO and related business units, sent meaningful gifts to share and accompany policy families, disadvantaged workers and border guards in Nghe An province.
On the morning of January 26, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union coordinated with SABECO to organize the program "Sharing Tet, prosperous Year of the Dragon" in Dien Chau district; visited and presented gifts to Squadron 137, Phuc Tho commune, Nghi Loc district and Border Guard Station of Dien Thanh commune, Dien Chau district.
Attending the series of activities, on behalf of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, there were comrade Bui Quang Huy - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union and representatives of the Central Committee's professional departments.
On the side of Nghe An Province, there were comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; Le Van Luong - Member of the Central Standing Committee of the Youth Union, Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, together with representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An Province, the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation, Deputy Commander of the Nghe An Provincial Border Guard and related units.
The program "Sharing Tet, prosperous Dragon Year" within the framework of the program "Border Spring - Island Tet" in 2024 aims to honor the contributions of frontline forces, who have made great contributions to the development of the economy and the sovereignty and security of Vietnam.
The program also honors the traditional cultural traditions of Vietnam's Tet holiday, spreading the spirit of solidarity, reunion and sharing love in the community.
The program “Sharing Tet, prosperous Year of the Dragon” was implemented in 25 provinces and cities across the country, with more than 10,400 Tet gifts given to workers, laborers, fishermen in difficult circumstances and border guards.
In Nghe An, the program presented meaningful gifts to 350 workers. Each gift was worth VND700,000, including a lucky money envelope of VND300,000 in cash and Tet necessities.
Speaking at the program, comrade Bui Quang Huy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union shared that, in order to effectively implement the Campaign "Sentimentality of the border and islands", every year, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union organizes the Program "Spring on the border - Tet on the islands".
The program aims to propagate and educate to raise awareness of union members and young people about the importance of borders, seas and islands in socio-economic development and protecting national sovereignty. At the same time, it is to express gratitude and encourage cadres, soldiers, union members, youth and people; to encourage and care for families in difficult circumstances in border, sea and island areas so that they can celebrate the traditional New Year of the nation warmly and joyfully.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin in 2024, as part of the series of activities "Spring on the border - Tet on the sea and islands", the delegation of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union was very happy to visit, wish a happy new year, and give gifts to people and children in Nghe An province.
In recent times, Nghe An has been known as a locality that has achieved many results in socio-economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction. People's lives are getting better and better, the youth force has shown its pioneering and creative role in contributing to the overall achievements of the locality.
Entering 2024, the First Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union hopes that Nghe An will continue to achieve many new victories and complete the local socio-economic development goals.
On the same day, the delegation visited and presented gifts to Squadron 137, Phuc Tho Commune, Nghi Loc District and Border Guard Station of Dien Thanh Commune, Dien Chau District with a total value of gifts of 35 million VND and 20 maps of the Fatherland at the two units.
