Provincial Party Committee Organizing Committee and Department of Transport presented Tet gifts in Nghi Loc district
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 1, the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee coordinated with the Department of Transport Party Cell to organize gift giving to poor households and households in especially difficult circumstances in Binh Thuan hamlet, Nghi Thuan commune, Nghi Loc district.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, the delegation of the two units presented 10 gifts to 10 poor households and disadvantaged people in Binh Thuan hamlet. The small gifts are the sentiments of the cadres and party members of the two agencies, contributing to helping poor households have a warm and happy Tet.
Binh Thuan is a hamlet with 100% Catholic population, the whole hamlet has 320 households with 1,153 people living, including 85 elderly people over 80 years old; 15 people with severe and extremely severe disabilities, the poverty rate accounts for nearly 2%.
In 2023, the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee coordinated with the district's functional agencies to provide funding equivalent to 75 tons of cement to build irrigation canals in the hamlet. The two agencies also coordinated to congratulate and give gifts to parishioners on the occasion of Christmas 2023.
