In case the driver is asked by the traffic police to prove the violation image
When participating in traffic, there are many cases where drivers do not fully understand the Road Traffic Law and therefore commit basic violations. In which cases are drivers required to request traffic police to prove the violation image is a question that many people wonder about.

According to Article 56 of the Law on Handling of Administrative Violations 2012, administrative sanctions without making a record are applied in cases of warning or fines of up to VND 250,000 for individuals, VND 500,000 for organizations and the person with the authority to impose sanctions must issue a decision to impose administrative sanctions on the spot. Cases of administrative violations discovered through the use of technical and professional means and equipment must make a record.
Violations that are subject to on-the-spot fines without the need to make a record are regulated in Clause 1, Article 6 of Decree 100 of the Government, including acts subject to fines from VND 100,000 to VND 200,000 as follows:
Failure to comply with commands and instructions of traffic signs and road markings, except for violations of regulations.
No signal before overtaking.
Not keeping a safe distance to avoid a collision with the vehicle in front or not keeping the distance as prescribed by the "minimum distance between two vehicles" sign.
Changing direction without giving way to pedestrians or wheelchairs of the disabled crossing the road at a crosswalk; or to a non-motorized vehicle traveling on the roadway reserved for non-motorized vehicles.
Changing direction without giving way to oncoming vehicles, pedestrians, or wheelchairs of disabled people crossing the street where there are no crosswalks.
Reversing a 3-wheeled motorcycle without looking or giving a warning signal.
Carrying people in the car using an umbrella.
Failure to comply with regulations on giving way at intersections, except for violations specified in Point b and Point e, Clause 2, Article 6, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP.
Changing lanes in an unauthorized location or without signaling.
Drive in a row of 3 or more vehicles.
Do not use lights between 7pm and 5am the next day or when fog or bad weather limits visibility.
Avoiding vehicles in violation of regulations; using high beams when avoiding oncoming vehicles; not giving way to oncoming vehicles as prescribed in narrow roads, steep roads, or places with obstacles.
In urban areas and densely populated areas, honk from 10pm to 5am the following day, use high beams, except for priority vehicles on duty as prescribed.
Vehicles with priority rights install or use priority signaling equipment that is not in accordance with regulations or use priority signaling equipment without a license issued by a competent authority or with a license issued by a competent authority that is no longer valid according to regulations.
Making a U-turn in a place where U-turns are not allowed, except for violations specified in Point d, Clause 4, Article 6, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP.
Driving below the minimum speed on roads with a minimum speed limit.
With the above regulations, traffic violators can request traffic police to prove their violations with photos and videos through technical equipment.
However, depending on the behavior and severity of the violation, the traffic police will not need to draw up a record, but only verbal proof is sufficient basis and conditions for punishment.
