Traditional Medicine Hospital - a bright spot of Nghe An's health sector

“Top Grade I Hospital” nationwide in traditional medicine
Reporting at the meeting, Doctor CKII Ho Van Thang - Director of the Hospital emphasized: "In recent years, with the right orientation and solidarity, determination and efforts, the hospital has had strong "transformations", increasingly affirming its reputation and brand".
From a class II hospital with a planned scale of 280 beds, operating under the autonomous mechanism of group III, it became a class I provincial hospital with a planned scale of 750 beds, operating under the autonomous mechanism of group II.
Over the past time, the hospital has been constantly striving to improve and standardize its organizational structure to contribute to improving the quality of the unit's operations. Currently, the hospital has 23 departments/rooms/centers, with 453 employees, most of whom are relatively young. The human resources team is being cared for and trained, increasingly maturing and developing rapidly in both quantity and quality.
At the same time, the hospital focuses on investing in upgrading, repairing, and constructing spacious facilities, creating a green - clean - beautiful hospital environment, contributing to changing the overall appearance of the hospital; meeting the increasing needs of medical examination and treatment of the people.
The hospital has invested in modernizing all pharmaceutical machinery and equipment, thereby improving production efficiency while ensuring the preservation and promotion of the value of medicinal herbs and traditional medicine. Currently, the hospital has self-processed over 90% of medicinal herbs and produced 45 medicinal products from medicinal herbs to serve treatment needs.
The hospital builds a modern, professional, civilized, and friendly hospital environment, thereby improving the quality of health care and affirming sustainable trust in the hearts of the people. Evidence is the increasing number of patients receiving health care at the hospital; with an average of 1,200-1,400 inpatients treated each day.
With the results achieved, Nghe An Traditional Medicine Hospital has become one of the 7 first-class units nationwide in the field of traditional medicine; has the largest planned bed scale and number of inpatients in the country.
One of four hospitals upgraded to grade I provincial level; one of three hospitals planned to become the final hospital in the North Central region.
Determined to become the final hospital of Traditional Medicine in the region
Discussing the orientation of building Nghe An Traditional Medicine Hospital by 2025, Doctor CKII - Ho Van Thang - Director of the Hospital affirmed the goal of the unit to become the final hospital of Traditional Medicine in the North Central region with a planned scale of 850 beds, 1,500 beds in actual operation according to standards; operating under the autonomous mechanism of group II; achieving a Quality Management score of 4.2.
In the direction of tasks in the coming year, the Hospital will continue to improve its infrastructure system, invest in machinery and equipment to meet the needs of in-depth professional development; attract and train human resources to ensure the requirements of end-line hospitals; improve the leadership structure and departments of end-line hospitals; improve the quality of the hospital, attract patients; build a hospital culture in accordance with the standards of the medical industry and the identity of traditional medicine; strive to maintain the title of the leading flag of the Nghe An Health sector and the traditional medicine sector.
Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa - Director of Nghe An Department of Health, on behalf of the Department's leaders, commended and acknowledged the outstanding results that the Traditional Medicine Hospital has strived to achieve in the past time, and affirmed that the Hospital is a bright spot in the province's health sector.
He hopes that in the coming time, the hospital will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, determination to complete the goals, implement the motto "bright medical ethics, deep medical theory, good medical skills" to build the unit to develop more and more; become one of the leading units in the country in traditional medicine and a friendly and reliable medical address for people in the province and the region.
