Nghe An: Highlights of February 23rd

* On February 23rd, at the Party Central Headquarters,The Subcommittee on Documents for the 14th Party Congress held its first meeting.General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Head of the Sub-committee, chaired the meeting.

The Document Subcommittee is tasked with preparing the Political Report and the Report summarizing 40 years of reform to be presented at the 14th National Congress of the Party. To assist the Document Subcommittee, the Secretariat decided to establish a Document Editorial Team.

At the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang - Member of the Political Bureau, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, and Head of the Document Drafting Team - reported on the activities of the Standing Committee of the Document Subcommittee and the Document Drafting Team since their establishment; and summarized the opinions of the members of the Document Subcommittee on the draft Submission, the draft Working Regulations, and the Activity Plan of the Document Subcommittee for the 14th Party Congress.

In his directive speech at the session, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong stated that the National Congress of the Party is an extremely important political event. The 14th Party Congress will be held at a very significant time: the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army are working together, seizing every opportunity and advantage, overcoming all difficulties and challenges, and successfully implementing many policies, goals, and tasks defined in the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress.

* To commemorate the 69th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day, on the afternoon of February 23rd,The Provincial Party Committee delegation was led by the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Van Thong.We extended our congratulations to the following units: Chi Khe Commune Health Station, Con Cuong District Health Center, and Southwest Regional General Hospital.

* Nghe An will issueRegulations on tuition feesApplicable from the 2023-2024 school year.

The tuition fees for in-person classes at public preschool and general education institutions that are not yet self-sufficient in covering their operating expenses, starting from the 2023-2024 school year, are proposed to remain stable at the same level as the tuition fees for the 2021-2022 school year, as issued by the Provincial People's Council and applied locally.

Specifically, the monthly tuition fee per student in the wards of Vinh City is 280,000 VND for preschool; and 130,000 VND for junior high school, high school, and supplementary high school.

For communes in Vinh City, wards in towns, and townships in lowland districts, the tuition fee for preschool is 200,000 VND; for lower secondary school is 90,000 VND; and for upper secondary school and supplementary upper secondary school is 120,000 VND per month per student.

In communes within towns; communes in lowland districts (excluding mountainous communes); and towns in low mountainous districts, the fee is 100,000 VND per month per student for preschool; 60,000 VND per student for lower secondary school; and 90,000 VND per month per student for upper secondary and vocational high school.

In mountainous communes within lowland districts; communes and towns within high mountainous districts; communes within low mountainous districts; and areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions as defined by competent authorities, the tuition fee is 45,000 VND per month per student for preschool; 35,000 VND per student for lower secondary school; and 45,000 VND per student for upper secondary and upper secondary vocational training.

* On the morning of February 23rd (the 14th day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Dragon), Nam Dan district solemnly organized...Opening Ceremony of the King Mai Temple FestivalIn 2024, in order to commemorate the merits of King Mai Hac De and his generals, and to educate all levels of society about historical traditions.

Before the opening ceremony, the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of Nam Dan district, and all sectors of the people organized a grand ceremony according to traditional rituals at the temple of King Mai, located in Mai Hac De block, Nam Dan town; commemorating and expressing gratitude for the contributions of national hero Mai Thuc Loan - Mai Hac De and the generals who overthrew the rule of the Tang dynasty, established Van An citadel, and built an independent nation for 10 years (713 - 723).
