Yen Thanh meets with people working in journalism and arts in early Spring of Giap Thin 2024
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 23, Yen Thanh district organized a meeting with people working in the press and arts at the beginning of the Spring of Giap Thin 2024. This is an annual activity, becoming a good tradition every New Year.
Attending the discussion were Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen The Ky - former member of the Party Central Committee, former General Director of the Voice of Vietnam, Chairman of the Central Council for Literature and Arts Theory; and many people working in journalism and arts in Nghe An province. On the side of Yen Thanh district, there were comrades: Le Thi Hoai Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee; Phan Van Tuyen - Chairman of the District People's Committee; representatives of departments and offices.

The Secretary of the Yen Thanh District Party Committee summarized some outstanding results in the socio-economic development situation in the district. Accordingly, in 2023, the district has quite comprehensively completed the set political goals and tasks. The district's new rural construction movement is ranked at the top of the province (currently, there are 12/61 advanced new rural communes; 2/10 model new rural communes).
Along with that, the district has effectively implemented 2 projects of the Provincial People's Committee on high-tech agriculture and new rural construction. In particular, in 2023, the Provincial People's Council issued a special Resolution stipulating a number of mechanisms and policies for socio-economic development of Yen Thanh district, helping the district have more resources to continue to improve infrastructure, accelerate the urbanization process, build advanced new rural areas, and model new rural areas.
By the end of 2023, the district has 37 products recognized as OCOP at the provincial level, of which 2 products have achieved 4 stars and 32 products have achieved 3 stars.
The district has attracted key projects such as: An Hung 2 Garment Factory Project in Tho Thanh Commune, Leather Shoe Factory in Bac Thanh Commune, Shoe Factory in Long Thanh and Tang Thanh Communes; investment project to develop industrial clusters in Vinh Thanh Commune and urban areas in towns and communes in the district... thereby creating stable jobs for tens of thousands of workers.
The Secretary of Yen Thanh District Party Committee emphasized that to achieve the above results, in addition to the efforts of the Party Committee, government and people of Yen Thanh district, it is necessary to mention the very important contributions of the team of journalists and artists - children of Yen Thanh hometown and the companionship and coordination of news agencies in Nghe An province.
Over the past year, journalists and artists who are children of Yen Thanh have strived to excel, achieving many remarkable results. In particular, many high-quality journalistic and literary works have won high awards, making positive contributions to the common development in the fields of literature, art, painting, cinema, music, journalism, etc.
