Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu congratulated new recruits from Vinh city on their way to military service.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 26, the Military Command of Vinh province and city solemnly held the 2024 military handover ceremony. Attending the ceremony was comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.
Also attending were comrade Phan Duc Dong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Vinh City Party Committee; Colonel Nguyen Ky Hong - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, along with representatives of the Provincial Police, Vinh City People's Committee, military units and citizens enlisted in 2024.

Implementing Plan No. 763/KH-UBND of the People's Committee of Nghe An province on the deployment of the selection and calling of citizens to join the Army and perform the duty of joining the People's Public Security in 2024, Vinh city has 147 outstanding citizens volunteering to join the military and public security service. Of these, 131 citizens perform the duty of joining the Vietnam People's Army, 16 citizens perform the duty of joining the People's Public Security.

The military handover ceremony took place in a solemn, emotional and warm atmosphere; following the instructions of the General Staff and the Military Region Staff, ensuring sufficient quotas and safety of people and vehicles.

Presenting flowers and gifts of encouragement and congratulations to citizens leaving for military service, leaders of Nghe An province and Vinh city kindly advised the young soldiers to constantly strive to promote the heroic tradition of the Vietnam People's Army and the People's Public Security; and the revolutionary and patriotic tradition of the Red City.

I hope that young soldiers will strive to train, study, and perform well their assigned tasks, become excellent soldiers and officers; develop and mature in the army, become members of the Communist Party of Vietnam; when returning to their localities, promote the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers and the People's Public Security, and become an important human resource in building a strong family and homeland.

In 2024, Nghe An province has finalized the number of soldiers and called up more than 3,400 citizens to join the army (officially more than 3,250 citizens, reserve 164 citizens). Among the citizens enlisted in this batch, there are 19 party members and 887 citizens who volunteered to join the army; 1,424 young people have attended the Party training class; 192 young people have university, college and intermediate degrees; 810 ethnic minorities; 205 young people have religion.
